After about 60 or so mint $1,000 paulsons.

I don’t think he set the range. That’s what rarer high denom chips seem to be commanding. That said, if condition isn’t as important, there are bargains to be had. If $10-12/each is a bargain in your book. There are, for example, 40 Empress Joliet primaries listed somewhere in the classifieds at $10/each, but they appear to be slightly used, with rack-check marks and aren’t full height in barrels. But they are gorgeous.

I have some of these...not sure of the actual base color (maybe someone can help?) but it looks like an orange-ish yellow to my eye...
