Bellagio Style - Why? (3 Viewers)

I'm not sure either, it's nice enough but nothing special.

I'll admit that it's a pretty classic style.

I found it to be simple, elegant, and easy to personalize.

I'm very partial to the Bellagio and Aria (same style chips) poker rooms. I also agree that they're simple yet elegant. Almost every other Las Vegas poker chip is ugly to me. If I ever build a custom set it will be in this style.

Serious question. Why does everyone copy this design?
Dunno. I never got it, either.

Decent enough design, I guess, but not something unique or cool enough for me to want to copy.

A fair call mate :) - been done many times now.

My reasons are/were - 'B' for Blades, high-stakes, suave, classy, Bond etc ... :-)

Not even a @Phantom design that matches my blade plaques makes me want a set :p looks fine but not for me
Well, how rude :-) haha. I am working on an alternate Blades inlay as we speak. Perhaps a revisit to days of old .... ;) I have just about done the Casino Royale.

I’ve been contemplating using it as a template for all the reasons already mentioned (elegant, minimalist, timeless, etc). My last name starts with a B and our home is referred to as a play on our last name.

I haven’t convinced myself to go through with it as a template though because I feel it is overdone. If I’m going through the trouble of a custom label, I want it to feel less used. Following this thread with interest.

I liked your original casino Royale inlays

I'd love to see an inlay with an attempt at getting a casino royale inlay with some kind of building image on there, like the plaques.

Really and truly? You're not kidding? LV is full of beautiful chip inlay designs.
Yes. Why would I say it and not mean it? I like maybe a total of 5 Las Vegas casino chips out of the 152 (technically more when considering renamed ones) casinos that have ever existed in Las Vegas.

It's a matter of taste, I would think? Some love it, others like it, and some don't like it. Just like with almost anything.

I've always like the design for the same reason already mentioned, simple and elegant design. I don't have any, so I guess I don't like it enough to buy or have any made to look like them.

Thanks for the answers. I absolutely get that it’s simple and easy to personalize. Just not my thing I guess. I do love the “Philagio” though!
