In on next secret group buy (1 Viewer)

GPI does not want to sell to the general public. That seemed like a hard policy to me.
Yeah, jokes apart, the only way of persuadiing them selling to you is that you 're not part of the "general public", and this is somewhat true of this forum.

I'm a total noob on this site... but I'd jump at the opportunity to participate in a Paulson buy! :)

Some folks who were on Chiptalk may recall me. I spearheaded a few group buys back in the day (PNY 50c, Modiano 4 color). I'd be more than happy to assist in any way.

I especially remember your Club Kaneda customs -- BCC, MGK mold. Super-fantastic chips.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Paulson has no intention of entering the home market. The reason they got out of it, was push back from the casinos. They would never risk the loss of business to do home chips.

As for trying to get a cardroom to make chips for you, this is highly illegal. If the state gaming commissions found out, they would prosecute immediately. This is currency. Most likely GPI would follow suit, as the damage to their reputation and security would be in jeopardy. This is very serious, the risk and legal fees definitely out way any potential gains.

What's the difference between getting a card room to make me chips and buying a casinos chips like the jack chips? Serious question. If you go through all the necessary steps but fail to open theres nothing they can do, seems the same principle to me.

All I heard was blah, blah, blah you gotta do tournament chips.

Selling to this community for huge profits will squash any banding together.
Yet it's happened 1, 2, 3.... etc times already so... :p

All you have to do is read the gaming regulations from any state. Chips are for one purpose and that is currency. Any use other than the intended use is a violation of the regulations.
The cardroom is the in violation and subject to loss of lisence, penalties and litigation. If you hold gaming equipment without a license, they will come after you. Gaming Commissions do not mess around.

So make a card room that never opens and say you're rebranding it?

Also still not sure why so many people are bent on saying it can never happen yet it has. It's like saying we'll never go to the moon in 2019.

GPI/Paulson was sold to Angel Holdings out of Kyoto, Japan very recently. What that means for the future of GPI & home markets is anyone's guess. I would take the advice of anyone pretending to know better with a grain of salt. Especially when they have a financial interest in us not succeeding.

Do you have any idea of what it takes to open up a card room? The licensing, background check, legal structure, reporting. The cost alone would make it impossible to make a profit. Let alone they would want to inspect the property and it would have to be set up before the chips arrive. And, the chips would have to be inventoried with a gaming agent present.

No offense, but you have no idea what is involved

But, you bought brand new chips from a casino that never opened? How is that not a violation for them to sell or for you to buy?

All I hear is our story needs to sound like a legitimate company trying to open, then oops we failed.

Have you not seen the 30 thousand chips 1 person received this month from gpi? I can assure you none of that happened first

I never claimed to so I couldn't possibly be offended but thank you :)

So did another Paulson purchase actually rent/buy two cruise ships and have them staged as if they're real casinos only to have them inspected?

Completely different situation, this was an existing property that was going to rebrand then decided to sell instead. They had licensing and a property.
They lost a lot of money on the rebranding gone bad.
