There was a previous thread about organizing an Abbiati group buy. Seems he has the samples now. Fun stuff. These look a lot like some of the Matsuis. Understand they are different but pure some overlap in appearance.

Maybe similar in appearance, but very different in feel and sound. Abbiatis have a softer feeling and are less slick. At least the samples I have, Abbiatis are better in stacks but more difficult to shuffle. As far as difference in appearance, Abbiati’s red blue and green are more vibrant. As far as the decals, I prefer Matsuis. Matsuis offer sharp edges on some of their molds; and the one's that aren't square, they are beveled. Abbiati’s edges seem to be rounded.

I've had samples and a color kit for months now. I'm pretty sure I posted pics of them in that GB Interest thread.
One of the reasons why it didn't move forward is because they don't offer enough mold options for all the denoms. I'm working on a set now with a custom inner ring but still hesitant to move forward with it because of that. The only way around it is to mix 2 color and 3 color chips with the solid ring around the labels. Its basically 3 mold designs per series. Split spots and solid spots.

The one series that has 4 mold designs (the one I was considering) looks great on the chip face but in stacks, it going to be way too busy with all those small 1/8 inserts.

I think their chips are reasonably priced but their others fees are on the higher end and adds up quickly.
Also their minimum QTY per denom is 1000 pieces. If less then there is 775€ setup fee per denom under the minimum.
I did the math and its not worth ordering more chips that I don't need to avoid that fee. More chips also increases the shipping costs too.

I'm willing to spend the $$$ for the custom inner ring and the other fees but the mold options is the only thing holding me back.

Agreed. Just have to figure out how to justify the 1000 min per denomination to place an order lol.

I am not a plastic chip kind of a guy, but the black, white, green (and even the blue) chips in this picture look pretty fantastic..and I may end up ordering with you guys... do they offer oversized chips as well? I absolutely love the PS $5/$20/$100, especially the hundo.

Hey Tommy, I know this post is like super old but do you have any idea what colour green the 4th chip on the 1st row in the 2nd picture is?

Is it just regular green? Or Leaf Green (from the abbiati colour catalogue)

Also, would you happen to know what colour the 3rd chip middle - 43mm is? Is that Lilac? Or Light Pink?
