I'll take all the Pharoahs.
Precedence must be given indeed to the person who takes all the lot.
I have fallen victim, in another sale, of this rule not being observed (I came second, but would take all the chips; not part of them like the first guy to respond).
So, the right thing is that these go to Tony.

So you’re buying these... so that someone else can buy the same chips from you... for twice the price. o_O
If someone wants to, I’m allowed to flip them. I bought some big top chips for $700 that someone originally bought for $200 probably

I'm new here, but I think it ruins the collegial spirit of this forum when users try to flip chips at twice the price.

Feels more like someone trying to chisel every penny out of their peers than anything else.

I apologize if I shouldn't be posting this, it just seems like a response is necessary in some fashion.

You’re entitled to think that. Free speech, free country :) no worries.

There are different ways of looking at it.

Buying for $100 and selling for $200 is different than buying at whatever he bought at (which could be $200 or more) and selling for $200 then buying more for $100.

Perhaps they are worth $100 to him to keep but not worth $200 to him to keep.

And then there is FIFO (First In First Out Inventory).

In addition, just because someone sells a rack of chips for $100, does not mean the average selling price of those chips is $100.

I agree with all of those points. This user seemed to indicate that he would be more than happy to sell these chips immediately for his higher price point.

** (I think that's his prerogative, I just think it changes the characteristic of this site if more users tend towards this mode of thought. I'd like to avoid that change.)

If I misinterpreted his sentiment, then that's my fault.

I have found the members of this forum to be very generous and helpful overall.
Value is always in the eye of the beholder and the market will always dictate pricing.
I have overpaid without remorse for chips I needed to complete a set.
I can see both sides of the argument.

I bought my chips two years ago at $150-$175 a rack plus shipping. So my average is around $150 let’s say.

I understand market prices fluctuates, which I did not take the time to research. I just posted a price that I would part with them for. If someone wants to buy, great. If not I’ll hold onto them. Knowing the market price now, I might drop them to $150 a rack, but at that price I would probably just keep them because they’re nice chips

This person I think is selling for a cheap price, so I don’t mind loading up on them. I also didn’t take dibs on all 7 of his racks, to leave some for people who might need them. My for sale post was before this post fyi. Right after would be different

I'm happy to split them with you.

Think I have PMs out to everyone on these now. And yes the secondary $25s have been sitting never seeing action for a while now. Market isn’t commanding $120+ a rack for these now. I’ve tried a number of times. I thought about eBay but I’d rather keep the chips circulating through this community if possible. Most of these $25s are from the source seller so I’m making a small profit - and now I don’t need to look at them sitting idle anymore while I put the primary’s (which I prefer) into play instead!

So yes I’m at the point where I want them gone so they can be used!
