So my drunk oldest son did this to my poker table last night.

Do you think I can fix it by bending them back or do I have to replace the legs? As it sits right now (after he sat on it) it would make a nice Fisher-Price kiddie poker table.

Bonus note beer pong balls in pic!

Only one way to know, bend it back. If it breaks you will have to replace it.

I don't think you'll be able to bend it back. If you can re-shape it, it'll be near impossible to return it to its original shape. And you risk weakening it.

I wouldn't hesitate in replacing them.

I still have the old wobbly legs from Bills old table if you want a temporary solution. Looks to me you need a permanent wood base though.... I know a guy....

I would think a metal shop might be able to apply some heat and straighten it back out. As to structural integrity - it most certainly won't be as strong as it was but it's not as if it's supporting a lot of weight.

Of course, by the time you go to the trouble and expense you could just as easily replace it.

***edited to add quality title to this post BTW***

Got a bench vise? I've rebent my Jeep soft top frame with no adverse effects. Same type of steel tubing. Be careful and try not to kink it.

What is under the foot of the bent leg? I’ve zoomed in trying to figure out the answer.

Get a set of gorilla legs from Chan and promise testing with same subject. Can’t guarantee similar results won’t happen but interested in findings.

I'd try this: wait until the morning after. Cook him a nice greasy breakfast. Lots of eggs cooked in the fat from the bacon. A cup of milk and apple juice to follow.
Then, when he's puking use his head to reshape the bar.

You could probably bend it back but a $7 torch is going to be needed. Don't bend it cold. It'll just snap and tear.

A folded up napkin. My middle son put that under there for some unknown reason. I think he was actually trying to balance the table but it don't matter now.

That’s originally what I thought. Was under the assumption that it was done after the fact and they thought shimming it would prevent you from ever noticing.
