What is the background on the set? Can you talk about who harvested and which chips are alive/retired?
I recently purchased MGM House Mold Detroit $1s and fracs. Looking to finish of higher denoms. Would love to know background on your set. Thinking I will go relabel on Las Vegas $1s if I can find somebody to harvest them.

Big Shout Out to Chris @ Gear Labels! Man they came out absolutely Perfect! Color match is Unbelievable. Bravo!

Set Background... This set came about after I stopped working at MGM Grand Detroit. I dealt Craps and Roulette there for 5 years from 1999-2004. After working there and playing with chips all day. I bumped into the website Chiptalk. That's where the sickness set in! So in around 2008-Now this set took form. Starting with MGM Grand Detroit Fracs of course. Back before MGM Grand Detroit as it is now opened. I managed to harvest 2,200 of the 1st Edition MGM Grand Detroit Fracs. Much of the profits from those deals turned into my various sets. Especially the MGM Grand Collection. These chips pictured here are just some of the Family. All chips here are No longer in Play. The current 1s you'll find in MGM Grand LV will have a much smaller inlay than these. Relabel the $3's as Fracs, Now that cracked me up! Those are Drop Chips. They use to use those chips on the Poker tables to dropping tips/tokes. And not actually used in the games. That rack took me years to gather over the years. Not sure anyone would be able to accomplish that again without a Boat Load of money!

Below are a few more Set Pics! Enjoy

Those $3 chips are rare as hell. It took me one year to get three chips. There are some for sale at eBay for 25-35 per chip, but that's a way too much I think.

Next to that I really love this $5 chips with the large lion head. I worked two times on a similar set. I sold the first set maybe 10 years ago, regret it soo much, that I started to collect a new set 8 years later. With the help of drumhoss is lost about 500$ and now, after about two years I finished my MGM Grand set, but I wasn't able to get 5's with the large lion head inlay, only. So sad and jealous every time I see your rack. ;) If you ever sell thema, you know what I mean... (and I know your answer).

Maybe the most exiting chip to me is the old school Detroit quarter. Same story here: I had a set, sold it, regret it and started again. Bought 4 racks, kept the best two and now I have nice Detroit/Foxwoods mixed set including some relabeled 5c chips. Love it.

PS: Very nice set and I love these DB?! Customs? Please pm where and how to get them. Thanks. :)

Thanks for the kind words! You have Great taste in chips too. ;)

Those are some SICK-ASS dealer buttons I picked up on eBay years ago. Think they were sold in MGM Grand gift shop as Paper Weights! If they only knew how cool they were.

Sick set man, I have an MGM set as well and absolutely love it.
(Who's the Wing player on the banner? Dastyuk? lol)

@SuckoutKing This set is simply amazing. I can't believe it! I've seen some of your other forum posts, but didnt know the baf the chips. Awesome to hear your dealer days led to this set being created. I hope you have this set built into your will and somebody knows the value going on here :) Very cool and thanks for sharing!

Will, that set might be coming with! I might need a good travel set up there. Lol

Zetterberg.

He scored a hat trick the night they gave those out at the Joe. Ace's first game, he sees a hat trick. I had to wait 32 years.

Edit: Nevermind.

The 'A' threw me off, can't remember the first hatty I seen in Detroit, we were at the Boston game 2 weeks ago and seen the Mantha one. Best game I've been to all season.

Told you so...Bob's threads always deliver

Stunning buddie....very awsome

Whoa! On web molds, too!
Love the web molds! Back when Michael Patten was selling these in quantity I bought what I could! Which is never enough. But the Charcoal color he only had 1 rack available. And you see it here, and they are still original unstamped. By far my favorite Paulson blanks. The colors are absolutely vibrant .
