Hey there, CJ here. I used to be big into chips years ago and was just thinking of all the sets of chips I once owned. If anyone from the old board remembers me, I used to buy and sell a bit. I'd lust for a set buy it, then lust for another... and so on.

I was curious if anyone still has any of these sets I once owned.

BC Martini club
BC Nevada Jacks (I would sell my kids to get a playable set back)
BC Samurais (if they were more colorful, I may have kept for 2 months)
Paulson NYers
TR King Oasis Club ( I designed and made the hot stamp and was an idiot for selling, but hey that what I dood)
BC Mardi Gras ( i still own these I think ... I bought a set and blended it in with Guinness' set, I think I have 600 chips somewhere in New Boston NH... and I custom poker table... like I said I've been out of the game)
The stupid Paulson pharaohs.... got rid of them asap
Damn I forget which Bud jones I bought 6,000 of.....

Anyone own any of these?

The owner of holdempokerchips sadly passed away several months ago and his BCC collection, containing most of the sets you mentioned (plus some TRK Oasis Club) were auctioned off early this month. I would figure at some point these will pop back up for sale.

Unfortunately, I don't own any of these sets, but they are bad ass.
 
TRK Oasis chips were the nuts. I only saw them in the auction but really purdy they are.

I really enjoy how people show up from way back when and carry with them all this knowledge and experience. I always feel like it is lord of the rings and some old sage comes out of the forest or some shit.

There's a fellow in Minnesota who's had his 1000-chip BCC Nevada Jacks set listed on local Craigslist for a very long time, his price has come down all the way to $850 but no biters - I think it's still a very good deal. Maybe try to find this listing? It wasn't an awesome breakdown (basically 2 racks each of T25, T100, T500, T1000, and T5000), but still good enough for 3 tables of 8 plus a huge amount of rebuys.

Welcome!! I LOVE BCC Samurais!! Yes, the colors are subdued, but the edge spot progressions and the 2 sided labels are AMAZING!! I tried for EVER to track down Elijah Muse to design a set for me, but apparently he moved to Europe and disappeared ): I wish I had more of the sets you listed.

Oh yeah....these things are so solid and straight that there isn't a chip out there that stacks higher than Samurais...guaranteed!! :D

Yes I did, sold it away for a set of custom ceramics- which is the only set i currently have. I'm glad you remembered it- I was wondering wtf the name that site was. I think I burned those brain cells away...

It is sad to hear that the owner of holdempokerchips.com passed away - worse I can't rmemberhis name- Matt ???, I used to email with him regularly, trying to get random sets from him. Always loved his sets.

It's probably a good thing I came to the game a bit late. Samurais were my first BCCs, so I think I missed all the BCC spinners and bad QC chips (with the exception of different shades of blue $1s, which doesn't bother me, but drives @detroitdad crazy...LOL). I suspect this is what kept a lot of chippers away from the Samurais, which turned out to be a good thing for me. :D

Have you seen @Potsie1's vendor forum? He picked up the last thing of holdempokerchips.com inventory which includes many of the sets you've listed...Mardi gras, Oasis club, Samurai, martini club, Nevada Jack's, etc.

I’m in the same boat as 99%Evil. Been away for a long time, now looking through all these new casino sets and group buys. Remember all you all CTers. Missing all the sets I sold. Also sorry to hear about MSPatton. Bought the bulk of my Palais de Congress chips from him probably 12 years ago.
