Harvesting Chips for Forum Members Discussion (17 Viewers)

I will no longer be harvesting any chips from this establishment unless I have already committed to doing so. I am returning the racks and will get more clarification on whether or not there is an issue with bringing chips alone out of the casino.

I was advised it is "frowned upon" to leave with chips, but ultimately they were not concerned with bringing back the chips I have previously brought out as I "paid" for them. I have been advised not to leave with (large quantities of) chips moving forward, and I do not need to return what I have taken so far. I am planning a trip to return the racks as they emphasized again that they must be returned.

What are the chips in the sixth position, bottom? Pink, Yellow, Blue, etc.

My haul from a Reno work trip this week one cashier sold me two new barrels, the next day the guy said he could sell me one chip because then UNR college kids had been depleting their reserves :cautious: I saw at least 12 racks still in the cage, and they only have about 10-15 table games that use these. (Who knows what they are?)

Did you get any $2's?

Any locals ever play at Old Cayucos Tavern? It looks tiny, and I'm guessing that getting two racks of $1's out of there would be damn near impossible, but boy would they be perfect for a set I'm working on. Especially if somewhat worn.

Sorry for the double post but what an awesome $25 this would be for a low/micro stakes hotstamp mixed cash set. I guess RHC might kill the idea unless mixing didn't tilt you.

Anyone going to Dominican Republic? Issued 2017, face value about US$0.50 ... wonder what they're used for or how easy it would be to get ahold of a couple barrels? Sign me up!

Great relabel potential!

This is cool - just find THC/RHC low denom in different colors from across the country and build a great set of Paulson relabel for way less....
The trick is finding casinos using black, purple, etc as $1 chips

I'm going to Rainbow first for their beautiful $1's for one of our members....probably 2 racks worth. If y'all know whats out there and want to put in an order for the following: Rainbow hotel and casino, Peppermill hotel and casino, Montego Bay hotel and casino, Red Garter hotel and casino, and Golden Nugget hotel and casino.....shoot me a PM for discussion of transaction. I am charging 25c per chip and buyer pays the shipping as well. I have harvested from Rainbow before and didn't have any problems because i straight up asked/told Jackie Price(general manager/owner) that i was going to be taking some of his chips from his inventory, and that they most likely won't be back. he said OK, wanna take a rack of hundo's too? Hah, Hah......sure at $5 a chip with no notches stamps, or drill holes, his response.....Hah, Hah......10k . Other than that i obviously can't guarantee success on todays harvest but i will do my damnedest to get whatever is ordered for y'all

Anyways, go to the chip guide in resources for the looks of the casinos i mentioned and hit me up.

Thanks and cheers,
Luvcasinochipsncekid

I can harvest chips from Northwest Florida and also make a few trips to Biloxi each year too. The main card rooms are Pensacola Greyhound Racing and Ebro Greyhound Park (aka Shuffles) in all 3 $1 variations. Just let me know if you need anything.

I also have a few $1 Creek Entertainment chips right out of the box.

I am flying out to Vegas for 5 days.
Plane leaves in a few hours.
Please send PM for harvest requests.
I ask you to be specific regarding casino, exact chips and condition. Pictures preferred.
Please give amounts and what you think is fair compensation for my time.
I will be staying at Luxor and Mandalay Bay but can travel to other spots.
The sooner I get requests the sooner I plan my trip.
Cheers,
Joe

Would someone still be able to get 125 of the flamingo 1 dollar solids? What size are those for some reason they look big... I'm looking for a chip to relabel and use as a quarter with my Cleveland horseshoe 1s and 5s

These chips are so sick. If anyone is headed to Reno and is willing to harvest these please let me know.

Depending on price I would easily take 5 racks of thes for $250 dollars.... easily I bet they are hard to get though

A thread on here got me thinking about harvesting chips for other forum members and how there are probably members on here that live near casino's that have great chips that others might be interested in.

I'm envisioning a sticky where people post what casino's they live nearby and are willing to harvest chips from. If you see a casino you want chips from you message that person and they proceed to harvest said chips charging face value plus shipping and possibly the cost of gas if they had to drive a few hours to get there? (Open for discussion on all details).

You would like the casinos nearby you and make the name be a link to the mogh chip page for that casino so people could easily click on the name and see what chips were at that casino.

For example:

I live nearby the following casino's that I would be more then happy to harvest chips from for people that wanted them.

Running Ace's
Canterbury Park
Mystic Lake Casino
Treasure Island
Grand Casino Hinckley (hour and a half to two hours away from me)
St Croix Casino Turtle Lake

Let me know what your thoughts are on this idea and I'll make a new sticky thread which would just have the casino info for casinos you'd harvest from (no discussion in that thread to keep it clean). Also not really sure what category it would go in but considering these would be chip purchases not for profit I thought this might be a good spot.
I’m in upstate New York 20 min away from Turning Stone casino I could go these are some of the chips from when I was playing

I know the $2.50 are pink and the big $1000 are pumpkins and $500 are purple

Is there any interest in these? I really like them and think they would be amazing with spotted flamingos as a relabel. Not sure if they have the same chips in the poker room but I harvested 15 without really trying, need to see if I can hand select a rack in good shape for myself if someone else wants some

They do look nice. Were all of them flea bitten?

The new Encore casino in MA is opening up nearby where I live in around 5 months. I assume they'll have new chips sent out for the opening of the casino. Would it be profitable for me to buy 2-3 hundred $1 to play like small stake limit hold 'em or something when they are mint/near mint, and take them out the door? Would i be able to sell them for significantly more than I "bought" them for? Is this quite frowned upon by the casinos?

Is this something that a lot of people will be doing as the casino opens, so could i assume the market might be flooded?

Finally, when the casino opens, how long do I have before the chips take on that "casino used" feeling? Over/under like the first 2 weeks?

Thanks for the help guys!
