One of our local hosts has a playable set that we use sometimes. They are indeed a beautiful set of chips. No original Olivia’s fracs for his set but he did relabel some chips to use as quarters.

Anyone know what the total count is of these chips in the wild? Or an approximation thereof?

Thanks for the info!

Do you know when/how these were released into the wild? I see some info on the blue wall indicating the casino closed back in 2013-ish. Any other info around? Sorry to thread-jack @Anthony Ferguson ... I'm just in love with these chipes!!!!
Gee, I doubt that 2013 is accurate. I did all my chip collecting between 2005 and 2009. I doubt that I would have acquired this sample set after 2009. Last month, I dug out all my chips and have started selling them off here.

I found this which indicates Spinetti's bought all the chips: http://www.thechipboard.com/archive.../618977/sbj/olivia-s-poker-hall-chip-history/

Man, looks like these are all scattered to the wind. I guess a sample set is my best option at this point. Thanks for sharing the details on these!!! (y)

That is the accurate story. I acquired my small set in 2003 or 2004. I’ve about given up on finding more.

Beautiful set.

I don't know what got into me, but for a 5 year period I tried to gather as many playable sets as I could. I more or less succeeded with PNY, Crystal Park, Le Cove, Paulson Paraoh, Vineyard, Aztar, and Bluz at the Bend. Vineyard and Olivia's were my dream sets. I managed to accumulate 1200+/- Vineyards, but could only get my hands on this Olivia's sample set. I looked back to see that I bought it in 2007 from a fellow ChipTalk member.

If you ever want to sell that set...........
