Minty!

Also, a totally new spot pattern! The trio of 1/8th spots aren't parallel, as the end spots tilt inward.

I feel like someone finally got Paulson off their asses to make an interesting new pattern. Not sure if I like or hate the brown T100 though. If it were a T5000, I'd be all for it, but non-standard colors make me...:mad::mad:

First impression....china clays (yes, really :x)

According to Rainman, Paulson decided to make new chips for the WSOP - for free - because the Empress Star chips looked too close to the WSOP secondaries.

Since they seem to match what was shown in the Gaming report, I'd say that at least part of what Rainman said is proving to be true...

However, the reason they did it and how much RIO paid will probably continue to be unknown and cause for argument.

I'd call this pattern 6TA18A214. And the 1/8 spots are 30 degrees apart as opposed to regular 45 degrees. Not a big fan of T100, anything else looks cool though.

1st impression

Spot pattern & colors choices - eww (that 100)
House mold - ewwwww

The trend of casino chip design continues to be, make chips as non-desirable as possible.

Someone posted on CD that they had contacted Caesars because they were concerned about friends that work in the WSOP getting in trouble if any Star chips made it into the tourney. I don’t think there is any doubt that the Star chips precipitated these being created.

Hate the 25, hate the hundo, don’t even like the edgespot much.

I like the T1000. The T500 is ok. The rest....yikes.

Now Jim from the Chiproom should swoop in and buy all the Old WSOP chips!

I know it can’t happen, but wouldn’t that be quite the twist to the saga?

I hate them less than I thought I would having mocked up those colors. Actually really digging the new spot pattern, I’m not crazy about most of the colors though.

Agreed. You can’t fault someone for showing some loyalty to people they previously worked with.

Back to the chips, that house mold makes them look like injection molded plastic chips.
FWIW the House molds actually have a slightly smaller recess than RHCs which means more clay on clay, they handle and sound great, I loved my relabeled house mold set.

I’m normally a big house mold fan, just not that one.

I might feel differently if I saw them in person. I don’t like the font either.

Yeah, I agree, the font looks like crap, Arial Bold maybe hahaha. I don’t like the house mold, but at least they probably feel ok...not that I’ll be playing in a big enough event to use em this year
