Great chips. Before I started trying to get a rack of Vegas Sahara $1’s I purchased two racks of these. They are a bit light but really nice chips. If someone needed more I would probably let mine go too.

Not sure who made them. I bought them from spinettis and they listed them as from 1977.

Not sure who was making small greek mold in 1977.

These came from BC Wills in Reno. There was roughly 42,000 of them. They came in shipping cases with the 1977 date on the ups labels. The individual boxes were packed in newspaper, and it was like a time capsule as I opened a few of the cases.

The is the first chip that I bought a pallet of.

If anyone has another color on this mold, please PM me. Doesn't have to be the same hotstamp. Don't think I've ever seen any other denoms of these.

Mostly looking for a good chip to use as a $5.

I believe that the 10c and 25c chips on the ChipGuide are Lg. Key, not Sm. Key.

There were other colors of these which I believe were a pink 10¢ and a brown 25¢. although I have only seen them at the chipguide.com

Yeah, figured they were pretty rare since I've never seen any for sale. Too bad. I really like the stamp on the $1's.

My guess would be ASM made them.

These chips were made by Burt Co. (pre-ASM) for BC Wills. Nice chips, and you don't see the SGK mold very often in quantity. GLWS!

Oh ?? I think it was some BCC greek mold... like on the samurai ...
@BGinGA @JWC where did you find all this information on mold and chips ? I'm a beginner, but I'm ready to learn... (never too old to learn...)

This is the site I use: http://www.antiquegamblingchips.com/molddesignindex_site.htm

There are some others if you do a search for 'poker chip mold guide'

The mold from BCC was MGK (medium greek key). Samurai was the 'T' mold which was at BCC near the end. SGK is pretty rare, especially for mint chips.
