I'm curious. I'm also thinking about a little project for the shuffle enthusiast.

I prefer 12 total if I want the full solid experience. I'll kick it down to 10 total if I want can't-fail-mindless-zen shuffling.
How about you?

I voted 10 because that's my favorite number to shuffle with, however I like doing 8, 4 of each color, because its a quick 3 shuffles and back to colored stacks...whereas it's 6 shuffles with 5.

And I'm definitely better at doing perfect shuffles 3 times in a row than 6 ;)

16 and have done as many as 22 back when I was more in practice. But 16 is the sweet spot for me.

I usually mix it up anywhere between 10-20, and 14 might be the sweet spot for the ultimate experience. (lol) Anything over 20-22 gets messy pretty fast.

14 or 16 is what I find I usually have when shuffling. 14 I can do easily, almost never having them fall. 16 will have some mess ups.

I can do 20 but I will do it successfully about five times and then spew them on the sixth. Since I spew chips naturally enough just by playing I try to eliminate it from my shuffling.

16 is my sweet spot. More than that I have to look at them / concentrate. That's no good.

I like to have 20 ceramics, 16-18 clay

As others have said, the sweet spot is 16. Can do up to 20 on occasion, but only 2-3 times before they spill everywhere.

None. I never shuffle chips. It's mindless, it provides additional tells, and it wears the chips unnecessarily.

I'll play with my card capper, spinning it, etc., but that's it.

12-14 but can go up to 20 depending of the condition obviously

You guys should just all whip them out onto the table and see whose is biggest.
I mean shuffling stacks, of course.

What tells do get from someone that shuffles all day all night ?

It's fun. I live the feel and sound of the chips when shuffling.
