1. Do you like the alignment of the labels where the outer color of the chip matches the color of the part of the inlay that says "BOUNTY" (like upper left, upper right, and lower left) or do you like the alignment where the color of the inlay is opposite of the color of the chip (like second from upper left and third from upper left).

2. Which mold goes best...scroll, MD50 or circle square?

Neither. Quarter-pies aren't exact fourths so the perfectly quadsected inlays may not line up well, and the human error factor also comes into play. I think this is asking for trouble/some awkward-looking inlay placements if they alignment isn't exact.

BUT - if I had to chose, I'd go matching on the scroll or MD-50.

lol, and i thought it was gonna be a poll on whether or not to use them in tournaments. :D:D:D (for the record, yes - for three reasons: more excitement, my play style collects a lot of them, and most important, moar chipes).

In theory, I prefer the chip color matching... but it really shows when the colors aren't an exact match. The 'opposite color' chips look busy to me, and will really show any misalignment of the inlay to the base chip. Double-edged sword, I guess - both have advantages and potential drawbacks..

I'm a sucker for diasqr (MD-50), although cirsqr also looks good. I prefer chips with a protective outer ring, so a big fat NO on scroll.

True about needing good placement. Dont underestimate CPC, they do a pretty good job with matching quartered inlay with a quarter pie.

My savage friends like bounties, but not bounty chips. They prefer to lay a five dollar bill (or even worse, 5 singles) in front of them as a bounty.
As I said, they're savages.

I guess I prefer matching, on the circle square mold, but the opposite looks great too. But I'd be concerned about what @Psypher1000 said, and I'd want some clarification about exactly how these will come out, before I'd order. Or order 4x as many as you need, and only use the best of the bunch.

.

Agree with this.

Plus, it's also fun for the occasional new player, who collects a bounty, and walks away feeling like they won something. I've been incorporating bounties into almost all my tourneys. I've never heard one complaint, and often get people tell me they love the bounty format.

And to @Jeff id argue I like all the versions. The match certainly looks more QPish, but the non matched looks cool for other reasons... go with what you prefer, they're all winner imho.

Md50 all the way. The scroll is to busy with the chip and distracts from the inlay.

Of course I'm a fan of color matching. If done right it's a beautiful thing

I like the opposite, on the MD-50.

I think the word bounty pops a little more on the opposite due to the alternating colors. I also see more of a "crosshair" line with the opposite which I like more than just 4 uniform color sections.

If you want the center image to be the focal point though I'd say go with the matching.

I'm just all kinds of confused. Are you thinking of remaking the Kings bounty chips or are you or thinking of doing something similar for a new Everleigh tournament set?

Fairly sure I'm not the only one who feels something major is in the works based on your posts over the last week ;)

FWIW I'm in the matching colors camp... I love your bounty chips.

I say 44mm A mold ( or scroll).
Make the bounty chip stand out / be special from the other chips in the players stack .....
I use a 49mm Bounty "button" as each bounty chip. Keep in mind you can always also print 1 to 10 on the back side to double as seating chips too ....

For bigger games, you could have 1-10 listed, as well as table identifiers. Have a bag of 50 bounties, let someone draw their seating assignment and bounty upon payment. :).

I like the contrasting color setup, because it reminds me of the focus pattern in a viewfinder.

Of course, you only have those when shooting photographs. Still, I like the effect.

And with that effect in mind, I like the circle-square mold, followed by diamond-square.
(Actually, would like it best with no-mold.)

Hmmm. No mold. That's interesting. Didn't think of that!

Who knows what the future will bring. If it brings something, it'll probably include this chip. I love it.
