How is there so many mint Sundance chips out there for how old they are? Is there a story?

I bought about half of them from another PCF member a year ago in a posted sale and had been adding single by single since.

Then I scored some from a few members + a chipper on fbook marketplace.

From what I’ve gathered Sundance sold a few 50-150 chip sets uncirculated and ended up in a lot of pawn shops. A mix of $1-$5-$25 and $500 in random quantities. Never seen uncirculated $100s.

Fb dude had 2 of these “sets”, another member here also had one of these “150 chip sets or so.” So I built up my set and bought and traded with others. Not many people kept theirs bc its an odd amount.

Then I imagine there are 4-5 chiptalk PCF OGs that also have sets. Personally , I know 2 PCF members w the uncirculated Sundance chip sets. About half the size of mine / similar to what I offered for sale. I imagine mine is the largest. But who knows.
