Hi everyone. I have been hosting a NLHE and limit mixed game for about a year or two, and it has been going well. However, lots of my players are moving away these days, and I wanted some advice on how to continue our monthly game online when we are so used to in person sessions. Thanks in advance!

Good stuff, glad the online options allow you to continue.

Few solid options I've used but my favorite is Poker Mavens. If you search on here you'll find some posts about it. Premium product where one person sets up a customizable server that others can log into from their browsers. Safe and secure. They send you money on Venmo/Paypal/whatever, and you put that into their account on the server. They can now buy in, cash out, top up however they'd like and you don't have to do a thing.

Mavens offers NLHE, stud, Omaha hi/hi-lo, and razz, and a few others Im probably forgetting. All fixed-limit, PL, NL, antes, whatever you want. You can multi-table but its tough on a phone, very easy on a laptop or larger tablet. Can run-it-twice, straddle, whatever you'd like. Custom table, chips, cards, and avatar graphics. Can institute a small rake for recouping product cost or a high-hand promotion. Pre-registration available for tournaments. List of all transactions for the player when they log in so its all tracked and secure.

It kind of looks old and isn't as flashy as the other options, but I've found it comforting. When I play with family I usually pair it with Zoom but it isn't needed.

All credit to @BearMetal for the PCF-style cards and chips.

Okay, good to know. I will pitch it to my group.

Are there any other options that come to mind? We are really just doing a trial of sorts to see if something online could work.

PokerNow was run by @FestiveKnight and its been fun, or some of the other play-money options.

If you guys are already geeks you could use Poker Night on Discord.

PokerStars home games is an option. Also ClubGG. For my tournament league I just switched from PS to GG. I need a few more games under my belt before I can critique it. I have been able to create a structure that more closely matches the game length of my live games and I’m happy about that.

Poker Now works great. I’ve had many fun nights playing with my poker buddies on there when we were unable to play in-person.

Recruiting keeps the home game from shrinking.
