Great selection for the free label fees!:cool The pre-designed ES cash and tourney sets print great by Tina. I have a large set of both and would do it over again in a heartbeat!

I am looking for someone ordering Tropicana 43mm web mold to get some more barrels (25c & $1, $25) to add to my existing great looking set.
And share label fees.
Just let me know (here or MP)

png or jpg work okay, they just need to be high enough resolution, which looks like yours are. The main thing with your design to consider is that the background color of the label will not perfectly match the chip color (because they are printed through different methods, on to different materials, etc.), which may or may not be a big deal for you. You can see a recent example of chip vs label color here: https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/help-me-choose-my-limit-set.140248/page-2#post-2895944 . As you can see, the blue one came out quite close, orange is a little more noticeably different, and black was somewhere in between.

Color mismatch is actually not a big deal.
Thank you for the response.

Hello all, we are arranging a group buy of Tina color samples. How it works is you get a set of chips that can be referenced to an index.

The chips.
https://chipmaticstudio.com/share/Xo6aCtvU9AQQkgKtqGp41

The index
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/170KX3rzvfBb71yp_RMKOr3oZmz1eekzI532pNhP9PEk/edit?usp=sharing

This would give you a list of 92 colors and their hex codes to use in Chipmatic Studio that you could see in real life how they print on a ceramic chip. Basically we are trying to take the guesswork out of how colors will appear. The chips would be a textured no molds.

Cost is $9 + shipping per set. We are trying to get 25 orders. So far we have 12. Anyone interested?

Clarifying question; if I pay for a label fee now, but add-on in a future GB will I have to pay another label fee on the second order? Thanks

Hi everyone — I have a question about these group buy hybrid poker chips. I’m still learning about chip materials and construction, so I’m hoping someone can help clarify this for me.

When people refer to “hybrid” chips, are they generally talking about ceramic hybrids or clay-composite hybrids? I’m trying to understand what the base material is and how hybrids fit into the overall categories of ceramic vs. clay/compression-style chips.

I’m still pretty new to the hobby, and just trying to figure things out, so I appreciate any explanation or guidance.

Thank you!

Welcome!

When people talk about "hybrid" chips they are generally talking about injection molded ceramic* that has a recess for a sticker to be placed such that it sits flush with the surface of the chip. "Hybrid" here is used to distinguish them from other ceramic chips that don't have inlay stickers (and instead have any graphics printed directly on to the surface of the chip.

You can read more about chip materials in these posts:
One, two, three
(which are also linked from this new member guide)

* "ceramic" is itself a bit of a misnomer, as is "clay" (to the best of my knowledge). Both are made from a mix of various materials, both of which include some amount of plastic. compression-molded ("clay") vs injection-molded ("ceramic") is a more accurate distinguishing characteristic.

Thank you for clarification. Sounds like group buy chips will be similar to Monaco from Apache Poker (hybrid ceramic in 43mm). I was hoping for hybrid clay in 43mm (similar to Royal Card Room from Apache Poker) with Sunset Beach inlay. My plan is to do a group buy once I get process figured out - like choosing chip color and inlay. Fun!

My understanding is that the Royal Card Room chips from Apache are what people around here call "China Clay", which is different from the compression-molded "clay" that Paulson and Classic Poker Chips makes.
