My opinion on the mold is that its fine. I want to hate it because I really don't like the look of it. Something about it looks backward to me, like I'm looking at a mirror image. But anyway, physically, handling-wise, when compared to THCs and RHCs, I've found they're fine - they handle great. Pips mold is slightly more slippery than the other two, but not to the point that I'd call them slippery chips. They dont feel like paulsons, they dont sound like paulsons, and they dont shuffle like paulsons. They fell almost plasticky to me. I've owned several other pips mold sets too. The solids tourney, avalons, and the pny fracs, but I've learned my lesson.
I get that SG has gone supernova, but let's not go overboard on the actual chips. To each their own, but I disagree with your description. They feel fantastic and shuffle beautifully. Have a nice heft to them, shaped inlays, and I personally love the color and edge spot combinations. Some may not like them but there is a reason they consistently sell for higher prices (not SG level, but still relatively high average)....End rebuttal rant!Since this isnt a for sale ad i can voice my opinion
I dont get why they sell for so much. I've owned a set of WTHC chips 3 times in my chipping career and each time I buy them I sell them immediately. They dont feel like paulsons, they dont sound like paulsons, and they dont shuffle like paulsons. They fell almost plasticky to me. I've owned several other pips mold sets too. I think $3/chip is tops for these. Theres THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of these out there. But i think most new chippers see these that L33T grail kind of chips compared to what they normally play with. And i'm sure its not just me. .....End rant
Also, if they're so GOAT...why are they never requested to be played at a meetup??

what is SG?I get that SG has gone supernova, but let's not go overboard on the actual chips. To each their own, but I disagree with your description. They feel fantastic and shuffle beautifully. I regret not buying yours!!!I've owned a set. I regret selling them.
I too, have regrets
StarGodwhat is SG?
Paulsons are like that but these just hit different for a lot of people, including myself. No regrets at all.
Seriously, it depends:
$1s- depends on condition and does the color match? $8-$11
$5s - $7-$8
$25 - $6-$8
$100 - $6-$8
$500-does the color match? $5-$7
$1000-$5-$7
$5000-$8-$10
For some reason they are harder to find, and then even harder to find ones that are all the same shade.I've seen a lot of people price the $1s higher than the $5s which isn't what I would have guessed in advance.
Were fewer produced? Is it the colour/inlay? Or just a more versatile chip for the typical game?
