State College, PA - Happy Valley Casino will offer poker (2 Viewers)

Hey all, not sure if everyone knew there will be a new mini-casino (Category 4) opening in April 2026 in State College PA or not, but there will be, and they recently announced their table line up. I wasn't sure if poker would be among the games or not, but it is now confirmed there will NOT be regular poker, just Ultimate Texas Hold'em etc.

Ultimate Texas Hold'em isn't poker as you normally think of it ( you play against the house).

Same with Pai Gow, Mississippi Stud, 3 Card Poker, etc.

In other words, they aren't really offering poker.

Yep everything listed is a pit game (vs the house) and a shit-ton of slots, I don't see anything about a poker room.

We ran a blackjack game with poker after my senior year out our place in University Terrace. Even introduced a Sic Bo game to hedge against possible black jack loses. That’s when I truely appreciated that the house never loses

Didn’t touch my savings account the entire year as I was flush with beer and going out money

We didn’t name it but it kind of it the beginnings of the Old State Club….
