@Felt_Lizard has me catching up on the poker news.

This one was interesting where the video shows start to finish the dealer conspiring, switching the deck and then dealing the cooler. Maybe the only clear cut example I’ve seen start to finish vs lots of conjecture/circumstantial evidence.

The false shuffle is even visible where he fake riffles.

The game probably had an air of legitimacy since it was in a poker club. Strange they didn’t even use the poker clubs chips?

My understanding is that this was a private group that paid for a private table in the club, and that the dealer was not an employee of the club, but supplied by the group that setup the private game.

Unfortunately, the narrative spreads quick and often without all the details (not that everyone reads if the details are there anyway, they skim and then assume) so the club has gotten a ton of flack over the incident with folks believing it was their dealer involved.

I wonder how they got caught - assume someone at the table reported it - maybe thought the cooler was too Casino Royale final hand-esque to be real? Maybe they got greedy and tried it a couple of times.

They were smart enough to think through everything, except the 300 cameras in a professional cardroom that record everywhere except the restrooms.

If that was a private homegame would be near impossible to prove.

From what I've heard this wasn't the first time and it seemed that everytime that dealer sat down, the very first hand was always won by a specific player in some kinda setup. I think I remember reading that.
