Preorder CHIPS* WEB, JESTER, GREEK, SUN, TANGIERS* MARCH 2026 (2 Viewers)

Hi all - I'm a long time lurker, but finally signed up because these Tina chips are so interesting. I tried out the chipmatic tool with some existing artwork from an old progen 80 custom cash set I want to extend.

Looking at the 43mm web mold Tina hybrids and reading around the PCF, I think I'm understanding that the image in the center is truly a sticker, not a bonded inlay or part of the overall chip printing?

If it is a sticker, I'm also guessing that it will be centered when applied, but not rotationally aligned, so I shouldn't depend on the edge spots being aligned to any certian point on the sticker? For example, in the attached image, my pirate skull could have edge spots directly above his head, or blue space, or the asymetrical alignment shown - different for each chip, right?

sorry for the long first post - can't PM yet and I'm pumped about this group buy thing!

Yes they are stickers and will be centered. The do a pretty good job at aligning them like the artwork. There will be some off as they are done by hand but most will be aligned

Hey question on the noise/squish stuff. Does that actually matter? It's unclear to me if that is something that just helps you visualize imperfections that happen in the manufacturing process, or if those are things that we can configure that will then look exactly that way. If the latter is the case, why would people want the distortion at all? Just curious.

I add imperfections and wavy lines to mimick a compressed clay chip. During the process of pressing a clay chip, the different colors melt and blend in a random way, especially on the edges, making an hourglass or angled shape.
Making the edgespots a wavy shape for ceramics also better disguises when the face of the chip is not in perfect alignment with the roling edge (which it hardly ever is).

Gotcha. That's what I was kind of figuring, maybe a mix between the two. I thought it was just something to help visualize in chipmatic, and then I realized the AI art also has the imperfections on it. I was like, "Wait, maybe people do this to make it look more like actual clay chips."

I think id also like to get in on the CDI chips. 39mm sun mold.

Thinking

10c x 150
25c x 200
1$ x 150
5$ x 50

Total 550

That being said im not in the states, so id need a quote with the airship! Thanks!
Hey Justin,

I think I would like to change up my order.

Instead, could we do hybrid 39mm suns with the following quantities.

25c x 225
1$ x 225
5$ x 75
25$ x 25

Total 550

Thanks!

I don’t know how many spares you’re planning for each denom vs. “in-play” chips, but if you like full racks, consider adding on another 50 chips (for less than $25 in cost) to bring it to an even 600 chip / 6 rack set. Better than paying a label fee and shipping again later. Personally I’d recommend you consider making it 1$ x 250 and 5$ x 100 so you have more of the workhorse chips if you’re planning on a 25c/25c or 25c/50c game. Just my opinion based on my own 25c/25c home game.

Hello, I wanted to submit a request for a quote regarding air shipping, but my account currently does not have access to direct messaging. Is there an alternate way to communicate about this meanwhile? Otherwise I think I just need to create another post/reply and wait for my account to be approved. I'm still trying to look into it.

I think the requirement is three posts and 24 hours from joining. Since you made the account two weeks ago, one more post should open them up, no approval necessary.

Is there a way to upload an image and then add denominations? Or would I have to add denominations on the image before uploading only?
No, not currently. If you're uploading your own artwork for the inlay sticker, then you should should create multiple versions of the image with each of the denominations you would like, and then upload them separately.

That's a good idea for a feature though! I'll look into allowing users to superimpose a denomination over an image upload.

Thanks I’ll do that. If we use a logo or something from a company is that a problem? It’s for personal use of home games of course but not sure how sensitive those things can be.

Once you pms open up just send me a message with quantity and full shipping details

Hey guys. Brand new around here but stoked to get into a full custom set for our home game. Apologies if this was ever answered in another thread (couldn’t find it), but is there an option to print custom artwork into a Greek hybrid chip instead of going the label route? Are their mold options that allow the Greek design without a center depression for a separate label? Been super happy using the Chipmatic tool, just might have some more complex requests. Just want to see what is possible without giving myself and everyone involved a headache. Thanks.

I took a sticker off one of my jester mold samples to give you an idea of what this would look like. Because of the recess, the printing doesn't really cover the center very well. There are also the 4 mold marks. The recess is part of the mold, so a greek mold without it would require a new mold be made.

Thank you for the intel here that’s super helpful. A follow up question is if there are any noticeable quality differences from going with a “no mold” or “cards mold” that artwork is printed directly onto, to a any of the hybrids with a label/inlay? I don’t see any real complaints with the hybrids and their labels which is great but I did pick up a sample set of Empire Cardrooms and like the look and feel. Also running short on time to get hybrid samples before this group by ends. If anyone has opinions on potential differences I am all ears.

The printing on the labels doesn't bleed like it does on the card mold and textured no mold. See my post on the previous page to see the difference.

Hybrids must have a label. Cannot print in the center of a hybrid chip for multiple reasons. Hybrids are superior to a no mold or cards mold.

This is exactly what I needed to hear. Thank yall for the support. I think my final question is how accurate is spot and edge printing? I like the idea of some straight edges but don’t want to count on them if there is going to be noticeable bleed into the main chip. Based on the timing of the Chipmatic tool being introduced I haven’t seen an example of what was sent using the tool vs what was received. Let me know if my thinking is a little too wishful. Thanks again.

Honestly, sounds like a good idea. The 6 full racks will look nicer anyways.

I'll make the 1x250 and 5x100

Most chips are very, very close to perfect. Occasionally there’s some variance, on one side of the chip, not the other. The most I’ve seen is about 1/32” which is what this chip is in difference between face and edge:

Granted, the more off the art is, the potential for problems will increase.
I always recommend clay-style wavy edgespots whenever possible, it masks any variation.

Any idea where we are on CDI label fee split? Was going to wait for the next time they were the free option but I know there was a decent amount of interest/orders in this thread thus far.
We would be at $20 per person with your order

And there at least 2 more (possibly 3) that have indicated they will likely place an order… especially now that the label fees is way down.

Assuming you place an order to make it 4…
5 would make it $16
6 would make it $13.33
>I’ll send them a reminder to get their orders in soon.

And FYI, I checked with Justin and he said there’s not likely going to be another “no label fee” option for CDI chips for many months (like maybe once a year), so now would be the best time to order them.
