Two Pair
Decided this year might be a good year to try and put together my first set of Paulsons and running into some speed bumps.
Some thoughts:
1. Turns out I really like the *18 spot patterns but am having trouble finding an affordable option for $5 chips. I like, don't love, the JACK cinn $5s and would be okay going a relabel route for an alternative. The only real option that comes to mind is IG primaries but those are somewhat scarce and out of my budget.
2. Wrestling with having a single THC mold surrounded by RHC molds. The $1 will be the workhorse for this set and while there are quite a few *18 spot RHC chips out there, I really do like the JACK $1s. No player will ever care about this but me. Maybe some mixed mold set owners can speak to this.
3. I love the Horizons Edge $25s, but I don't think my current game will ever grow to needing maybe more than a single barrel. This filters back to the point it may be better to pursue a smaller quantity of JACK (Detroit, Cincinnati) primary $25s, but more chips better. Under poor lighting conditions I could see the four wind and horizon edge chips being confused for each other, I do not foresee this problem with the JACK $25s.
