Before I abandon the project altogether, I thought I'd seek help from PCF'ers.

Here's the project.
I fell in love with the Tiger VIP1 cash $5000 chip (I mean, LOVE) (thanks @Jers28)
So I set out to build a 43mm tourney set based around that chip as my yellow T1k.
Should be easy, right?

I put it next to the blaze Tiger claw NCV (thanks @Jers28), that looks good.
Then I got a bunch of samples....and discovered that the orchid (V1) Tiger tourney chip looked great next to the other 2.
Together, the 3 of them are just perfection to my eye. They look like candy, but without being too crazy. Complimentary colors. I'm in love.

And now I'm stuck.
I'd like to find a T25 and T100 to finish out this set, but I'm REALLY struggling.
The Tiger T25 looks decent (I'm not in love, wish the green had a little more saturation, but it's not bad either). It seems to go with the other 3 chips. But after that, I'm REALLY stuck.

I can't find a T100 to save my life. I don't think any of the 43mm black or grey Tiger chips look good here.

I bought a rack of RPC $100 to test that out. With the spot colors, I think it fits the set really well, and they soften up the black base, so it isn't such a harsh contrast with the other chips.
I could get behind this line-up, I think. EXCEPT that the T100 and T500 have the same spot pattern. Oh no, for my only personally custom relabel set in my collection, perfection (to my eye) is what I seek, and repeating spot patterns doesn't cut it.

I've taken out all of my 43mm samples that I can find (Big Top, etc), and I simply can't find a replacement for either the T100 or T500 that work to the point that I think it looks awesome.
By the way, the sheer number of 8V and bear claw options does make it challenging to not have repeating spots (and that's not even the spot pattern where I'm having problems!).

I think there are enough awesome Blaze oversized chips that I could probably find a replacement T5000 if a bear claw T100 or T500 was a good fit.

Anyone have any suggestions, besides just giving up here?

Thanks!!

My inclination is to just make it easier on myself, NOT build a 43mm set, and try to find a Tiger hot stamp tourney set (although I suspect that's going to be a tough project too). See sale ad for the RPC 100s above, and the wanted ad for the hot stamps. lol

What about starting the tourney set at T100. Going with the TP claw black replace the Blaze claw, and then you have so many options for T25K because the colors are less structured at that point anyway.

T500 base?

Black T100 Claw

Replace Blaze Claw with 48mm FH 8v free play

Probably too hard to find but the RA $500's would be a nice T100

One other thought I had was to have a multi-size set. I could have 39mm 25-100 and then my 3 favorites as 43mm? Something nice about having all 43mm though.

Don’t abandon it Mel! 43mm chips are the best.

Speaking of RA 43mm, there does seem to be a decent amount of the $25s floating around…could be a good T500 that mixes up your spot progression.

You could also do the RPC T500 43mm

I love the Tiger NCV as a T1k. That’s what I use in my 43mm set. Then capping it with the Tiger $5k solid spots is a nice finish. I think it could work!

I’d probably not go 43mm until the 1k at earliest if wanting to add 39mm. At least for a tourney set anyways. I do like a 43mm $500 in a strictly cash set

I’ve failed every time I’ve attempted to create an alternative lineup.
Tigers I’ve come to learn are pretty damn complex chips. Often 4 colours with really good spot pattern progression, not giving me a lot of room for error.
Some folk here have a really good eye or deep pockets for trial and error. Either way I really applaud them.

I do believe if you went a white T100 you probably need a stronger T500 base, like blurple or go full eccentric. I like the RPC 4V18 but perhaps that adds too much blue and pink to the mix.

Good luck Mel, don’t give up!
