Sale Black Friday Sale 2025 (2 Viewers)

I just watched that, it looks like they are still using the chips from this sale in the 2006 events.
Very cool to see these chips on that ESPN coverage with Lon and Chad.
Those chips were still in play until last year. Even after the rebrand to Caesars, the Harrahs NCV and WSOP Nola chips were still in play until the new Caesars WSOP chips were made.

Sometimes, tournaments even mixed the two sets.

The last two photos are the current Caesars house NCV and Caesars WSOP. I imagine those will fetch a pretty penny in 20 or 30 years when Caesars is bought out 😂

It looks like they used the light lavender 500 chips in New Orleans, but later in that coverage, they show a tournament from Grand Casino in Tunica, MS...where they use the darker blurple 500:

In 20 years of playing tournaments at Harrah’s, I never saw the blurples(I like this name) in play. It was always the light purple/lavender chips. It was excruciating in certain lighting and a lot of 5k chips got tossed in as 500s for live misclicks.

I wonder what the story was behind the blurples. The few people I’ve asked didn’t know.

Those new Caesars chips remind me of something... Can't quite pinpoint it... :ROFLMAO:

My tracking looks the same. I contacted GlobalPost to ask for a status update and got this message, which sounds like a pre-AI support response where someone is clicking buttons to paste in pieces of templates:

Thank you for getting back to us.

I understand how urgent and important this shipment is for you. But no worries I will do my best to help.

[frugal], I have made an escalation to our higher department for further information on the current location of the item. Once I hear get their response I will let you know right away. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

If you have any questions or need any further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reply to this email. I’m here to help and make sure you feel supported.

Thanks again for your patience, [frugal]! I hope you have a wonderful day!

After not hearing anything for a week, I asked them for an update on the update and got this message, which also sounds like a canned templated response:

[frugal], after thoroughly checking the tracking number [...], The package is still with the GlobalPost facility and is processing. We are expecting delays for international shipments during peak seasons due to higher volume of shipments, please allow some more time for the package to arrive at your address. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

If you have any questions or need anything else, please don’t hesitate to reply to this email. I’m here to help and make sure you feel supported!

Thanks for your patience, [frugal]! I hope you have a wonderful day!

We might be in for a bit of a wait here!

Thanks for the Update! Thought also about getting in contact with them but gave up on it for this year. I just hope it will arrive some day and not be under a different Christmas tree already :-(

Mine was stucked in CDG 8 days and finally moved this morning.
Hopefully, I should get it next week!
