Things That Are Bullsh*t (103 Viewers)

A huge reality that started staring me in the face in my late 40s MJ. My body seemed to be letting me know daily that if I continued doing what I was doing, I’d either be broke down or maybe even dead by retirement age.

I just recently learned this about property taxes and turning 65 in the state of Texas.
https://texaslawhelp.org/article/over-65-property-tax-exemptions-and-deferrals

Been having some of the same concerns about growth here in west Texas as you guys in Tennessee.
The Amarillo, Bushland and Canyon region which I currently reside in is expected to double in population by 2035.
Right around the same time I’m looking to retire.
Turns out Tennessee also has a similar law. I've never heard of it (until now). There is no telling how much you might have just saved me (in 9+ years). TN requires reapplying every year (I'm guessing TN legislature think some people get younger), but locking in at least one tax bill is worth some paperwork. Added a note to my long-term budget so I do not forget.

I will owe you a drink for this info.

That’s terrific news MJ!
Will hopefully get to have that drink with you in the near future my friend. :cool

You never know what folks are going through, maybe they just really need that outlet once in awhile.

Why are noobs always rolling up thinking they got standing to start these like “OFFICIAL BEST XYZ CHIP OF ALL TIME” type threads? I get you’re trying to see chip pr0n but go digging. Part of the beauty of a forum is that there’s an entire trove of threads to go digging through.

But’s what BS to me is that they think they should be putting these threads up. You’re new here, lay back, read shit, talk about what you got going on, ask questions(!). But leave the GOAT threads to the veterans with dozens of grail singles to contribute to the conversation.

Shots fired!

I mean we all hate new people...........but of the "new posts" first 10 pages, 80%ish+ looks to be classifieds - and usually not good ones these days.

I mean......we've only been here a couple years and we've seen everything be solved, from GOAT this chip or that chip to best tourney breakdown to whatever. And that was probably the 28th time. Yes, it's all there for search. But......why not let the cycle continue to repeat? The new people come in, rehash/argue all the same old arguments, etc., seems a bit natural.

So, no pcf is not going to instant messaging, most of pcf doesn't care about new peoples thoughts on goat this or that, most people don't care that you received your $15 cheap scroll mold find, most people don't care about everyone's designs for their Tina order, etc.

But why not let the new people push their thoughts to the front pages? We need something to do while we sit by and wait for the next off forum find/NAGB/scam/public argument/meetup.

I’m just here for some Copa $100s…but my dick isn’t big enough to pull them in.

I’ll keep whipping it out, regardless.

Nobody’s stopping them. But it would be irresponsible to not reply where appropriate.
If somebody wants to go start a greatest NAGB list or a greatest Tina list, I will fuck right off; you won’t hear a peep out of me. But greatest of all time? I’ve got shit to say!

Texas with homestead exemptions, we routinely see tax bills of 1k/mo and have seen as high as 6k
Property tax and insurance in the N Dallas area is a total bitch. We’re damn close (in fact pretty sure we’re over) $30k this year for property tax, HO + car insurance and that doesn’t include the bitchy useless HOA fees and assessments. (That’s with the homestead exemption)

Texas isn’t low cost anymore- at least not the N Dallas area.

As soon as the kids graduate HS we’re out - lol.

I just paid $178 for one year for my truck. The 2 and 3 year options were just 2 or 3 * the same price so I said no thanks. This place is getting too expensive to live.
Pennsylvania has no discounts for multiple years paid either but DAMN! $178 wow.

Gotta be that area of the state. My property taxes and homeowners insurance combined were about $6500 last year in Randall county.
That’s on a home with an assessment of 300k, I imagine homes in the N. Dallas area are much higher being their location.

They have been dinging everyone for the maximum statutory tax valuation increase every single year for about 10 years running. It adds up quick..

Not only do cpcs not fit in those justin racks but I've now been informed that they are not good relabel candidates. So much for making Panda CPC relabel chips from the stock panda chips.

That is not at all what we said. CPC chips are excellent candidates for relabeling via inlay removal and label replacement. However you asked us about overlabeling (and they are indeed not suitable for that.)

Got it, my bad. I mistakenly equated the two. Thank you for clarifying.

You asked and then it got locked: no, I haven't heard a thing from him since he asked for my address after the auction ended. He hasn't said a word to me. No idea what the pokerchippper thing is I'm never on there. Sucks, oh well.
He's trying to sell what you rightfully won for $55 more than the auction result over there.

Looks like he's banned from here. Can't click on his profile.
