I spent months trying to find a chip that would be a good frac with my Primary Tiger Palace set (Much thanks to @Saditsfact) I finally came across these and made them in to Tiger Palace fracs and they work great. I'm looking for a buyer that would like to use these chips with their set 'as is' like I did. They are worth more like this bc of the time to make them into TP fracs than as their original chip, the Aurora Star $1s chip (They are murdered and relabelled by @Gear).

If you want more pics, or pics to show how they match with the other chips in the lineup, I'm happy to provide for interested parties.

Asking $400.

This is not a dibs sale. Please comment with interest and then send a PM. Thanks for looking.

Learning that relabelled chips aren't worth a lot more than their original chip, even if they are Tigers. Price drop!

I still think you are seeing it wrong.

Once you knife the chip, it’s worth less. I can’t see how killing chips makes them worth more. I’ve murdered hundreds, I’m not against it, but I’d never ask for a premium. I’d think I’d have to offer a discount. I get it that it costs $$ to kill the Chip and label the chip, but this is a pitfall of customs.

This is why one ought to be sure they want to proceed with murder. I used to be just murder crazy, never actually use the chips I created, only enjoyed the high of making them, but it’s always been a loss. If I’ve missed something, sucks for me.

I think you’ll fare better with the new title (relabel lol) of your classified ad, too. It’s still an Aurora Star and now people looking for this color chip who may very well want to label it anything else are more likely to see it. In all my Tiger sets, blues are used as $1s, so a blue frac wouldn’t work, regardless of the name on it. Hence a lot of purple, peach and pink fracs in the Tiger collection. They’re great chips, just not Tigers any more than the kid who identifies as a cat is a cat. GLWS!!!

Hey @Jeevansluck thanks for sharing this. I can admit I'm still learning as a chipper, and that I can be wrong on getting more for relabeled. I can see a murdered chip is worth less, but for some reason I thought another would see the genius of using this AS $1 chip as a Tiger frac, especially for the Primary Set. I think if I had sold it with the primary set I had listed, I might have succeeded in getting my original ask, but I chose to orphan these chips, and here I am. Thus I am lowering the price till I find a chipper that wants it, but I am not in a hurry to sell. Maybe someone else will decide they like the AS $1 chip as a frac for the Primary set. We will see. Otherwise I will have them for while.

Thanks @Jers28. I appreciate your input. Yeah I changed it just to get more visability. Regarding blues as fracs, when I got my first Tiger Primary set, the set had blues as fracs, so I didn't think it would make a big difference to have these AS $1s as fracs too. But yeah, yellow, purple and peach are the sets Tiger fracs in @kk405 sets. I like yellow fracs with the Primary sets colors, but that sells for $700 to $800. I thought for $500 ish, these would be a good discount.

Regarding this, yeah they aren't really Tigers, so guess little interest other that I am to use them as Tigers. Now someone that wants them for whatever purposes can find them.

Absolutely nothing wrong with Aurora Stars. They’re definitely a premium and sought after chip, regardless of current labels was all I was really tying to say. And now your target audience seems more likely to see them!

Hiya!
Not everyone has the same taste and what might look like pure genius to you, might completely ruin a set for someone else. People just have different tastes and I think that’s what makes this fun.

If you want you can mix and match and create something really unique. I’ve seen some GREAT remixes of different sets on here, but unique doesn’t always mean pretty. Some are awful in my opinion. Even though it may have felt like genius to the one creating the line up.

There’s no right and wrong, just different opinions.

I also wanted a blue frac for my TP set. I went with ES fracs and just overlabeled. (The me of just 2-4 years ago would have went straight to knife).

Then, if they grow on me, I can always murder down the road.

I do like your custom though. It’s actually better than my choice for spot progression, let’s say. But….i have never really cared about the ins and outs of spot progression. Just don’t care. Whatever is visually pleasing.

I’d use those ES fracs in any set I own. A frac, a $1, a tournament chip, don’t care. It’s just too purdy! I’m with you on over labeling, first. See if I still feel strongly about its placement in six months or more before getting more serious.

Here’s a perfect example of why I’m glad I overlabeled. While I love the chip in this set, we don’t play tournaments very often. We play cash at least once a week. I’ve been considering swapping it into a cash set, just so it sees the felt more frequently. For now, it’s fine where it’s at. But…I’m thinking 🤔🤔🤔🤔 And the white NCV chips have already been pulled from this set. They were needed in an all claw Cali set, so they were replaced with an ES1 in the MTT set. Much easier to be flexible with over labeling.

Yeah that is smart. It is better to start that way.

Thanks @Jeevansluck. I really worked hard on the spot progression, and I thought the tri-moon was a great starter, as the Primary $1 is 2 spots 3 times, and the Primary $5 is 3 spots 3 times. I have seen tri moons on other tigers and really like them. I had a lot of help with the progression (Thanks @Saditsfact) and was happy to finally settle on these. Your choice is beautiful 8V but like you say, doesn't follow progression.

I've thought about it and have decided to keep these for now for fracs on a new set I'll build. Thanks @FullSet for the inspiration, and @Jeevansluck and @Jers28 for the input. I think these make good fracs, regardless the label, so why sell them?
I dig it! Good call! You put in the effort and $$$, you should reap the rewards.
