$10 CDI Chips (1 Viewer)

I was able to pick these up somewhat locally and I’m obsessed with them.

Still trying to figure out how to make them work in my sets. They are too pretty to murder and I haven’t seen these in a CDI set in my time on PCF.

I find myself coming downstairs just to look…..

That’s the only thing I could really think of too but murdering them would hurt my soul. I don’t think they have ever seen the felt

Murdering these would be a crime, and I don't even care much for CDIs or their inlay.

If they work for OP's game, keep them as is. $10 would work well for a microstakes game. They're a touch too close to the radiant red $5's to be in pots with lots of them.

if you can’t find a use as is, keep a single and sell off the rest. That’s what I’ve done with every off forum find I haven’t kept.

From what I’ve read weight alone is not the single determining factor for leaded chips?

I don’t have the history on them. Does anyone have any reference to another chip, same base colour/spots?

Any guesses??

Based on the mold, textured inlay and the fact these are clearly not re-labelled all signs would point towards CDI98??

Back on the days when you ordered from Paulson you can customize chips
The only strange are the weight

It is pretty standard for Blaze based chips (assuming it is Blaze) to be fairly light. It is just one of those colors that always comes in a bit light.

Are there real paulson logos under UV light, that would support that they are real CDIs and not some relabels, for what it's worth. That would stop a lot of haters calling them not authentic.

I think the confusion was that there are $10 actual movie prop chips that @Pippa was referring to as the "real" $10 chip.

These are legit, they were just made for someone's private collection or something as one offs or limited runs. We have seen it before like with the IHC 1Ks that were also part of this lot (and the newly seen IHC 5ks - which I had never seen before or the blue $5 chips I posted about today).

I feel very confident these were made by Paulson, and therefore are "real", they are just not a part of the normal CDI '98 run.

On the flip side, if they are relabels, I want the name of the label company because I have A LOT of business for them.

@ChippinUp if you really felt like it, you could also just do a close up of the label showing the vinyl top inlay piece and cross-hatching like below. That cannot be replicated by any re-labeler I am aware of. If it could, they would be minting money on PCF (in other words someone get working on this ASAP).
