Story:
So I have these Ammo Cans that set up really well for chips.
Not much to this "build" as the cases and tubes fit pretty snug. For shipping or long travel maybe some bubble will help avoid bumps and bruises and that's how they'll show up to you. For around the house just raw-dog it. Each case is VERY strong and heavy, even without chips. I put felt pads on the bottom of each ammo can to protect desktop surfaces from scratches.
I used the 30 cal (small) starting stack tube case weekly for a bit and it's cheeky to reach into an ammo can when someone gets felted and has to "reload." I'm moved onto my tube holder from @ProperPokerPlayer now which is more convenient (no lid to open). There are other more complex builds using Ammo Cans and 3d printing but I don't have the needed equipment for that. It can also fit two tuck boxes on top and probably a small DB somewhere.
I haven't used the 600 chip case for chips but again, it sets up well. It can fit 600 chips in 2x300 layers, 2 setups and dealer button as well (or a few tubes for even MOAR chips).
I can repurpose these ammo cans to a more general use but I think they're just too cool to not use as chip cases. Since I don't really have chips that work thematically for these cans/cases I thought I'd give them away here this, or near this, Veterans day.
I have no idea what the source of these cans are and I've had them for years. Probably bought at "army-navy" store or at a garage sale. I used them in my "Commando Green" (actual color name) Jeep for awhile to keep recovery gear and tools together but moved on to soft bags so they've just been floating around since without purpose. @ammocanman on eBay has all you'd ever need if you want to recreate these builds for your military themed chips (if you don't win mine).
