Hi,

Looking for a cash Set with up to 1000 chips (plus/minus) under $250.00

This will be for a small housewarming for a buddy, am curious to see what's out there.

Usually playing 25c/50c blinds that plays more like a 1/2 game...

thanks

Monte Carlo, Showdown, or Poker Knights plastic slugger are probably your best bet.

Chipcave.com has em all in stock. Code HOLDEM10 for 10% off.

Better price at ApachePokerChips.com for Monte Carlo and Casino Royale. $0.25ea. Right in your price range.

Are you sure you need 1,000 chips? If you post wag at stakes you play and the amount of anticipated players, the community may be able to give you a better breakdown…and possibly make your $ go further.
Usually in question like this it’s all about quantity not quality; it looks bad when you’ll show up with 300 chips, 1000 looks more impressive.

That said if I’m mistaken I do apologise; but low budget and high quantity usually means that.

@cristian301 I’d be willing to sell a brand new set of Tina’s (never used even once and still with more chips for the set coming) for 60¢ on the dollar. They are labeled with my own custom labels, so you may not be interested, but I don’t see a scenario they ever see the felt. When I ordered them, I had one small set of Paulson’s. I know have six, with 3 being fairly massive and well over 10k each. If I’d known how “off the rails” I was going, I’d likely never placed the order. Nothing wrong with hybrids, but no one expects them to compete with something that costs 20x or more per chip. In addition to already being over budget, it’s also 1,900 chips on the cash set. There’s a slightly smaller tournament set I’d be even happier to sell, as I have 4 MTT sets and we don’t even play tournaments more than a handful of times/year. When we do, better believe it’ll be the Tiger Palace set.

Tina Sets
Cash set
50¢ x 200 $100
$1 x 400 $400
$5 x 800 $4,000
$25 x 400 $10,000
$100 x 100 $10,000
Total Bank $24,500

Tournament Set
100 x 600 60,000
500 x 300 150,000
1000 x 300 300,000
5000 x 100 500,000
10000 x 100 1,000,000
25000 x 100 2,500,000

Those are the totals and breakdown. The cash set is large enough I could split it up. As long as it’s left to a playable second set I can also sell, that is. So like
100 x 50¢
200 x $1
400 x $5
200 x $25
100 x $100 would equal 1,000 chips and call it an even 30¢/chip for what I just paid 52¢ or whatever. $300 plus shipping. I’ll take a beating on the sale, but I’m not paying to ship my beating. lol I’d guess shipping for 1,000 chips will run around $30-40. It may be less. But, that’s a lot of weight, so being conservative. I’ll pass the receipts on shipping, so you’d pay actual costs, whatever that may be.

I doubt you’ll find a better deal, but you may not want my labels. Here’s a pic. Let me know if this is of interest and I’ll provide more.

Swap out a rack of $5s for a rack of fracs from this pic and you get the idea. If you are more interested in the MTT set, here’s a partial (25k chips on the way)

Again, neither have seen the felt outside the initial pics session when they arrived. They’ve been and will continue to sit on a shelf.

*now, not know

The pinks in the MTT set would easily make for dirty stacks, which is why I ordered the blue ES$1 style chip as a $25k to get the pinks out of the set. I’d have to dig through me records to even tell you what color the fracs ordered are. I don’t remember and they haven’t arrived just yet.

FWIW, I’m also perfectly happy to let them sit on the shelf. Just an option for you.

Something like this is what is what I have in mind. I suppose we dont really need 1000 chips, but thought it'd be a good place to start.

Im going to consider yours

I'm not even part of this equation. But I'd love to see a closer shot of the chip inlays. I see the cool lion image on the table felt but perhaps seeing it on the chip will seal the deal. That's a great deal with a good denomination breakdown. And 1000 chips allows for two tables, which is nice.

I’ll grab some closer pics tonight, if desired. The labels are the first iteration of what became my main logo on all my chips. I confess, they don’t look as good on the Tina’s as these, as it was my first go round.

Quantity and quality are on a scale in regards to budget. As quantity goes down, a higher quality within the same budget may be possible.
I wasn't thinking of an extreme where you only buy 300 chips. I meant that if you really only need 500-600 chips, you may be able to go up a tier in quality using the same budget.

Bear in mind OP, that's a super duper close up above. It'll look very clean/sharp in person because your eyes can't zoom to this extent. I learned that with my chips -- a pleasant surprise.

Yeah, nobody needs 1,000 chips for a single table big bet game. 600 is plenty, and much easier to carry around.

$250 is definitely tight for any decent chips, here is another option @ $300

Apache is selling Taj cards molds at $.50 per… these have never been played and from the original group buy. Just over 900 chips and choose a dealer button. Also I work in Adams Morgan.

Just figured I’d offer.

Fellow Chipper Ben

Personally, I love seeing a bunch of chips on the table.
Sure, we all do.
However, with a $250 budget, you can get 1,000 $.25 chips or 500 chips at $.50 apiece.
For 50c per, you are in ceramic hybrid chip territory, which is a much better chip than the ones in the 25c range, imo.
