It seemed appropriate for a Witsch (my name is Greg Witsch) to do a first anniversary giveaway on Halloween. I found PCF late last October. At that point, I owned one set of chips that I had used for 20 years and was looking for information on where to find a custom set. One year, five sets, and about 8,000 chips later, I am addicted to this site. I have also met a bunch of good folks and worked with a handful of them to acquire chips. So I thought I would offer up a selection of Halloween treats (i.e. random chips and things I have acquired in my small batch chip purchases). I will ship them to the winner. The random lot of treats is pictured below and includes:
  • Black Cat ceramic dealer button
  • .999 silver $10 commemorative Flamingo Hilton gaming token
  • (3) presidential theme chips
  • (5) different Bally locations chips
  • (2) International chips - 20 Euro chip from Societe Des Bains in Monaco and a 50 some denomination chip from Casinos of Austria
  • (1) chip from Mabel's Whore House
  • (1) $100 chip from the 2025 WSOP Main Event
  • (1) non-denominational chip from the Barbary Coast

One of the goals of my purchases of seemingly random batches of chips is to get at least one chip from as many of all of the chips in the US and Canada. I actually pulled all the casinos listed in the Chip Guide and consolidated them into a spreadsheet and am highlighting each as I acquire a chip from that casino. So to qualify for this give away, you just need to post a picture of the chip from the most obscure or far-flung casino in your possession.

To mix and mingle my holidays, I will award the winner on Thanksgiving evening by putting all the qualifiers on a wheel of fortune and doing one spin and posting a video for everyone to see. Good luck all!!!

That would of course be the S.S. Rex chip in a plaque I discovered in the last minute I walked through an antique shop. Per Google AI:
The S.S. Rex was a notorious offshore gambling ship that operated off the coast of Santa Monica, California, in the late 1930s. Owned and operated by former bootlegger Tony Cornero, the ship was a popular, luxurious floating casino that anchored just beyond the three-mile limit of U.S. territorial waters to evade state and local gambling laws.

Happy Anniversary Greg!
They're not far flung nor are they obscure, but for now (until @doublebooyah85 buys them all in 20 years) they're pretty rare. Grabbed these as souvenirs this year from my first WSOP.

After some thought, I remembered I have chips & jetons from my trip to Portugal in '97. That's pretty far flung lol.

The €25 Jeux Américains chip I picked up while playing black jack at the Casino de Monte-Carlo. My wife and I visited Monte Carlo on our anniversary and I wanted to have a little James bond experience, so I sat down at the tables. I won €600, but decided not to cash in all my chips so I could bring back a few for friends.

Congrats on the milestone (and this giveaway reminds me that I need to do my own soon).

Most obscure casino chip is probably from the Chesterfield Club (run by 1940s-1950s mobsters); another one of the most obscure chips is my Jenna J. chip (only seen 1-2 during my time as a PCF member)

Tell me I'm not the only one that checked to see if that web address was still active. :x

There seems to be a seedy theme to your chips. :ROFLMAO:

I also like to pick up one/two chips from every casino I play at - I've been doing it for 20+ years. I haven't played as much at casinos lately, mostly home games. The most obscure place I've played is St Maarten (Dutch side). A beautiful island with kind local folks, insane yachts and amazing food.

This is one of the chips in my collection. In full transparency, this chip image is from Chip Guide - I'll be darned if I can find where my casino visit chips are located at the moment.

Thankd for the giveaway and hope you've enjoyed your time on PCF. I have, even if my wallet disagrees!

Also have Monte Carlo, went on a Mediterranean cruise last year and Nice/Monaco was one of the stops, naturally had to visit! I kept one and gave the other two to my poker buddies. Grabbed a Vesper to sip as I played while there.
