Finally got some KEMs to try out; haven't used any since the Moneymaker boom. Also some placeholder Flamingos (before spotted) for my water animal/creature-themed mixed set:

Some magic carpet looking cards there, I like them

I want to share what I got in the mail. It was two racks of IG $25s from @duncancm. I want to show how well these were packed. This was one of the best packaging I have ever seen. Each rack was boxed and individually wrapped and then the bubble wrap was secured with rubber bands. It is important to wrap the padding all the way around the chips and secure it, and not just place bubble wrap on the sides as things will move and slide out of the stuffing during shipping. I appreciated the rubber bands instead of having to cut away a bunch of tape wrapped around the bubble wrap.

The chips were a bit dirty but that was clearly shown in the for sale images.

I have had a lot of luck cleaning the grime and black marks from the edges of the IG $25s
I place them in a plastic rack and scrub the edges then rotate the barrels a few degrees and repeat.
This a way I am not individually scrubbing the edges.

And look how nice they turned out!

Do you find the colours fade from doing this or are fine after re-oiling? They look fainter after the scrub in the photo, even if cleaner

I have not reoiled them. They do feel chalkier after the cleaning and thus the colors might be a little less brilliant. But I don't notice anything significant.

So these chips are no big deal, but man, the saga behind this package, and now today, finally able to open…I’ll admit, I thought they were lost. That said, I hadn’t yet had the privilege of buying from the chipping extraordinaire @AK Chip . The way he handled everything throughout this acquisition, was stellar. His reputation is legit. Thanks Pat 🙏🏾

Oh…the chips are the other half of the set sold by @freedomblazes who recently sold it. I was local to Terry, so I dibs only half. Not sure why I made the mistake, but Pat had dibs the other half. Then he saw my wanted ad and sold them to me. What a guy!
