I'm shocked and saddened hearing the news. I didn't know him well, but had a couple of dealings where he was very kind and genereous. He seemed like a wonderful person, I think you'll find his welcome to PCF posts in just about every new member introduction thread, going back years.

Truly a big loss. From everyone’s accounts Berny was a great man, fellow CDI fanatic, and extremely knowledgeable chipper. From my experiences he was also generous, friendly and eager to help. Damn this hurts.

I’m struggling to find the right words, but I’ll keep this short and to the point.

Life is fragile. One day we’re here, and the next, we’re gone. I say this often because I mean it sincerely: please, don’t take your loved ones, your friends, or anyone in your life for granted. Appreciate the little things, cherish every moment, and make the most of the time you have with the people who matter.

RIP Berny. It was a pleasure knowing you and talking with you, even if it was only online.

Wow, just seeing this. Berny was an incredible person. One of the very first PCF members I had any substantive interaction with because of our shared love of CDI98s. He was always extremely generous, kind, provided information without hesitation and an all around great guy. Rest in peace my friend. You will be missed.

What?! So random and terrible/sad. Condolences to his family, close friends, and all of our Canadian chipping brothers and sisters.

I think it's fairly evident what a great guy he was from all the wonderful things being said about him. From welcoming new members (including myself in my introduction thread 5+ years ago) to being helpful in general, I don't think he ever had a negative interaction with a single person or was even capable of one in the first place. Just that genuine of a dude.

Berny's name is and will always be the first one I think of when I see any CDI chips. RIP good sir.
