Let's Talk Casablanca . (2 Viewers)

OK Casa fans. The artwork is getting finalized for a Casa cut card. It's going to look somewhat like this, but will have rounded corners. And bleed.

Please visit the Cut card group buy to purchase a few.

Final artwork for both bridge and poker size. Please let me know if you are interested in either or both so I can track to be sure we meet MOQ. We're already close, so I will buy extras if needed so that both of these get made.

T25 tournament set nearly complete.
I think I need a better $5000 chip as the current candidate is too close for comfort on dirty stacks…

Any ideas??
Leaning towards a chip with an 1/8 spot in it to keep all chips in that lane.
Must be 39mm, not going oversized.
Thank you for the ideas..
No repeating spot patterns take the top two out.
Chicken Coop NCV or Empress Star $100?

I think we are basically there at this point.
I am likely to add two more barrels of Pyramid ones to murder and complete a second rack of quarters, if I can find them.
It also looks like I am only keeping two racks of $1’s and selling the third rack.
I just can’t seem to think of a case where I would need them.

Which makes me wonder if lead is even the part we all love. Wouldn’t be surprised if the new chips are just a different formula because those old school Cali chips, that should technically be outside of the lead era, still have that same feel.
What old school Cali chips are these? Considering there was still lead until 1998 (although probably less) and some colors even after 1998 those chips in the 90s that @kmccormick100 mentioned might still be leaded?
Weight alone doesn’t seem to determine leaded or not. Date they were made probably the most telling for lead.

Although, like I mentioned above, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s not even the lead giving it that feel we love and just a different formula compared to modern day chips.
I’d be curious as well, what makes leaded chips so great, considering the lead only accounts for about 10% of the chip by volume.

But I will say I can’t agree with @softchewy that leaded chips sound the same as unleaded chips (at least in my experience), but maybe if the weights are closer they sound better? Like I’ve only listened to 10 g hotstamp Paulsons versus 8 g tigers. But like Sam’s town $1s weighing 10 grams could be a good comparison if I had enough of those to test. But I’ve heard even those feel different.
I actually don’t think they feel the same either, comparing near mint barrels of tigers and hotstamps, but maybe the weight has something to do with it? Maybe since it’s heavier you have to squeeze harder to pick them up? But idk I think it felt softer imo.

But to be fair I haven’t felt as many chips as any of you big shots so idk. Maybe send me some chips to test :sneaky:
