Was I angled?

  • Yes. The deck was the same for everyone, and flips are randomly occurring events anyway

  • No. Unfortunately, flip is dead.

Won a 4-way flip at dinner break. We found out as I was scooping the pot that there were 5 cards missing from the deck.

The other players claimed the flip was nullified, I countered with it didn't affect the "action" (as it was a flip, and we all had the same cards, so nobody had an advantage.

Just to backup #1... [EDIT, damn it... chatGPT made shit up.. that's what I get for asking it for the relevant rule vs pulling up the latest TDA Poker rules version myself].

TDA rules are not perfectly clear here (closest likely reference to use for common logic), but you can largely infer based upon rule 35 and substantial action. This was also discussed though on the TDA boards, where generally there's agreement that after substantial action has occurred, things continue unless there was reason to believe a player had awareness/advantage: https://www.pokertda.com/forum/index.php?topic=767.0&utm_source=chatgpt.com

So IMO.. if theres no clear indication that you had knowledge of the missing cards and an advantage, it stands.

That's a tough spot because obviously hand is over and you win. But weird feeling afterwards. I'm surprised the players even contested this. We're they joking? Anyone who has enough gamble to flip should know that it wouldn't make a difference.

I would have said you guys take 5 more cards out of the deck and run it back!!!

They know who they were, and

I need names. Never flipping with the objectors.

Also validly stupid. I thought it was a single board, I thought it was X game not Y.

Flips are flips. Just do it.

Also, in addition to being an angle shooter, add corrupt to @MatB 's rap sheet. He was asked by @CraigT78 to provide a ruling at the outdoor cigar table while sitting at the inside big boy table. I watched him go outside and come back inside two minutes later holding multiple large bills of cash. I suspect that he accepted a bribe in exchange for a favorable ruling for someone

Well he can't win at the table, he's got to make up for it somehow.

the inside big boy table.
i love that the $1/$1 table is considered the big boy table. should be called the big banana table!
Well he can't win at the table,
i can now confirm this as fact. he was even kind enough to make me a paper plane with his donations
