Host a lot of home games with friends. Very chaotic 50c/$1. $20 buy ins lead to a lot of all ins and rebuys but can't convince them to play differently.

Sure everyone will be excited to upgrade from some dice chips.

Welcome. I’m new myself. The home game I play in is smaller in denomination (25c/50c), but min is $60 and max is $160. What’s the min and max for your game? Increasing the min would probably help get rid of the shove fest.

I’ve played a lot of home games in the area. 25c/50c blinds almost always plays like $1/2dollar. I think the main reason is our area is pretty affluent so $50 buying is like nothing. People here can afford much higher stakes so even with small blinds is still placed much higher. I think that the game runs purer and more skill is involved the higher the stakes. The people like the small blinds and deep stacks.

Normally starts with min $20 max $40 but once stacks get deeper people add on.

We’ve talked about increasing the minimum but some players are pretty attached and those that want to play deeper get to later in the nights.

We also commonly have more than 9 players so there’s some rotation as people get stacked and want to take a break. It works itself out. Honestly can be more of an excuse to hang out and drink without paying bar prices

“Personal medication” BUT if I find someone in need of medication I share, never sell.

It’s completely legal here, you can get your own in about a 90 second walk from the garage (actually 3 dispensaries within 2 minutes walking) and that’s not counting the illegal ones that get busted every couple weeks! Lmao

Hello from Indy, we usually play $.25/ $.25 with $25-$50 buy-in. There is only one person that likes to go all in here.
