Some idiot once told me that I'm a hypocrite, a troll, a loser and a sheep. There was probably more insults, er...personality critiques but hey, I'm happy with that analysis.

So since one dropkick has deemed me worthy of troll like status I really need to keep on improving to achieve the ultimate troll title.

Please take the poll, or not, it's your choice. I'm just trolling after all.

And don't name names, we wouldn't want to upset anyone.

It's not a competition. Some posters make many things difficult or are just annoying. I have no interest in typing a more convincing point of view. When I ignore them, they go away. Let someone else get triggered.

I guess my take is slightly different. I have only ever blocked a handful of members and that was so they can't own any real estate in my head. Repeated inane or outright ignorant posts by a member actually do start to wear on my thinking even outside the forum. For my own mental well being, I'll block someone.

It's rare for me to do so, and having just looked at my block list out of curiosity, I see many of those who I blocked have naturally stopped posting here anyway.

I have only blocked one member and I’m glad I did. It had nothing to do with politics or being mean or anything, it was constant bumping of classified for sale ads. For all I know they are still doing it, but my ignorance is bliss!

That's fine that you did that but let me ask you how did that affect you? I mean, all you'd see was the same sale ad appear on the Whats New page once a day. What about that finally set you off one day? I've seen many members bump their stuff but never thought "That's it I've had it with this guy" to the point of blocking/ignoring them.

It’s been up to 20 or so. I have thick skin, but it’s makes my reading experience better not seeing the BS that always stems from their heads. Most of them have either been permanently banned or gone away anyway. (I think).

Some are users that only post classified ads, for which I have no interest.

Some just like to cause trouble.

I was going to go this year, but losing one’s job and using all saved PTO killed it. That, and the loss of pay, of course. The local ones are much easier for me right now. 80% in for 2026 pending dates

Apparently I’ve got 5 members on ignore!?

I’m not even sure how to block a member tbh, otherwise there’d be a few from the ig ore list on the blocked list instead. lol.
