Im currently in NW Indiana. Which Illinois/Indiana casinos should I visit to try harvest chippies? (1 Viewer)

Title says it all. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Edit. Im probably interested in a rack of fracs or two. Also open to helping* other chippers get something they are after.

*Im making no promises or guarantees it will happen as I don’t know my schedule here yet.

Harvesting for singles? Harvesting for racks? Harvesting for personal use? Harvesting for resale? These probably all have different answers based on what exactly you’re looking for.

I’d probably just use Maps/Google and put in “casino” to get the names of casinos within your current range. Check Chipguide by state (still free as long as you aren’t searching) to find the chips currently at those casinos, and use the release date of the chip(s) as an idea for the condition to make a plan for where you’d like to go. Or just search those casinos on here to see if any of the chips are changing hands and/or their current condition

Thanks for the tips regarding the now paywalled chipguide.

with respect to harvesting im probably leaning towards a rack of fracs from indiana to add to my IG set but open to other suggestions. Also open to trying to help other chips complete something they need.
 
Not a lot of obtainable fracs in the area. However, there are several casinos within an hour drive or so. Four Winds South Bend is a decent place and their common chips are in decent shape...plus they have a poker room which makes harvesting way easier...GL

Actual Indiana fracs are tough nowadays. I don’t think there are any casinos which currently have them on the floor in the state of Indiana. Past options were Blue Chip (no longer in the trays) and Hollywood Lawrenceburg (nowhere near NW, also don’t believe these are in the trays anymore either).

If you don’t mind Illinois there are a couple of live options around the Chicago area, which is not far from NW Indiana.

Rivers in Des Plaines also still has theirs live but they watch them a lot more closely these days, so it’s a lot more of a gamble.

These are nice, didn’t even know about those!

Casinos really need to stop putting the decimal if they’re also using the cent sign (Bally’s above did the same and it drove me crazy enough to sell mine.)

Go to the cage, flip them a quarter, ask for a rack. Act incredulously when they can't explain proper use of decimal points.
 
If youre so inclined:
l'll take 10x$1 and 10x$5 Paulson chips from any and every Casino in that area in furtherance of this project and trade you any LV strip Casino I have - most of which are in good condition.

I also want so cheap HM fracs but who doesn't. :)

There is a small chance I end up on a yacht with some execs from Ballys so Ill be sure to let them know about the decimal point issue

If you come down to Indy, Live Casino, not sure it's worth harvesting chips from; If you do make it down, please PM me, I'll meet you there and if the stars align, take you for some good food. There is a small $40 (rebuy) 1 or 2 table tourney (holdem) tomorrow and cash (mixed) if there are enough players after, its fun.

Even if you don't make it to the casino, we can snag some food or something.
 
Hi all, used to live up near west Lafayette but haven't been to any of the Indiana casinos as I was too young at the time. Out of curiosity, has anyone had any success harvesting at Horseshoe in Shelbyville? Working on putting together my first set and I really like their snapper and think it would fit right in. Pic below.
