Completed Tangier's Casino- Exclusive World Release (5 Viewers)

Mine finally arrived today. The box had seen better days, but the chips were fine. Can't wait to get them in play.

Do I see some Binions there on the right left? Happen to have any more pics of those?

Great eyes!! :) They are Cratty’s Tangiers tourney set (loosely based of the Binions tourney chips) that I’m making a large Tangiers NCV tourney set out of. They came out BEAUTIFUL - really nice!

I’ll send over some pics of those later today after work.

If we don’t get the blues remade and shipped with the newer art file instead the older one, I’ll probably reorder that barrel in the purple next time I see tangiers label fee get low I guess.

Bummed they goofed on that file. But looks like maybe not too many ordered that blue 25k chip

Hey @Cratty , keep us posted on the $500 and the $25k updates. I would like to replace both of those ASAP. Not really a rush on the 25k, but I won't use my set again until I can replace the 500s.

Thanks!!

Hey @justincarothers , is this new design by @Cratty orderable going forward? If it's doable, I would order 100 of the $500 chips with the white/gray edge spots right now and I can test them out once they arrive and give feedback. Let me know and add me to any current order if so... Happy to be the guinea pig.

There are no updates at the moment. We will add the $500 as seen below to the original lineup so it can be ordered going forward. The $25k in its current form has no updates. She has so far not been able to make the chip any different to match the label better.

Awesome news... PM sent

Was this picture from the first post not real? Of course I see the word "Mockup" but I could have sworn it was a real photo with previous samples. The difference in the nickels is stunning.

That photo is real, but some of the colors and spots were adjusted to latest design-intent. The only actual changes I made in the mockup were:
  • 100k adjusted to 8V spot vs 814
  • Red darkened chip vs initial run to match inlay better
  • Purple chip darkened vs initial run to match inlay better
  • Black "peach spot" lightened
  • Orange inlay lightened 10% vs original file
All of the above seem to have carried through fine to the latest run as expected.. The nickel had no editing in that photo though.. that's just the variation we saw from the label printer in this production run.

Sent a note to Tina, they used an older color/file for a couple including that one. Hoping to have corrected to the latest.

Oh bummer, I was under the impression that the blue 25k was just a mix up of using the wrong file as it had been made correctly previously in the final mockup?

Candidly, I have no idea how the 25k came out how it did, but working to get it corrected moving forward if we can (but worst case may have to default to a round label on another color).

Yeah, it's not the label that's the main problem but the chip color.

How do I go about ordering an alternate color green chip, even if it has a round label? I’ve felted these chips in a live game twice. With the green $25 chip being the same color as the edge spots on the red $5 chips, and the blue edge spots being the same color as the blue $1 chips, we’re getting some dirty stacks and overall my players have been underwhelmed with the chips due to these issues. A brighter or darker green chip with different color edge spots than the other cash set chips would solve all the issues and make it a great set.

(Pics of dirty stacks for reference).

Just pick any chip you want and we can put a round $25 Tangiers label

Let us know when you order so if anyone else wants to get in on bringing down the tangiers label fee.

I need to reorder a replacement for my blue 25k chips.

If anybody has an extra rack of orange fracs, I'd be very interested in buying them from you (or trading for them in return for a rack of pink fracs). And I'd be interested in adding on to a future order to bring down the label fee. Thanks!

I’m curious, is no one else having dirty stack issues with the 25s between the 1s and the 5s?

I can see where it could be a problem for sure and the photos above highlight it. I personally dont have this issue with my cash side as I use the $25 chip for my T25 tournament side of the set. I ordered the grey .05 chip with a $20 label for the cash side of things, so with the green $25 chip eliminated from the table for cash games, there are zero dirty stack issues on the cash side of things. I recommend looking at this as a possible solution...

These are really nice chips. Feel good and stack well. Happy with the way the colors turned out and glad I got the round labels. The only disappointment was my $1 chips came with the .00 when I requested to remove the decimals. Not the best pic. Will try and add pics of the entire set this weekend.
