A recent EJ purchase eliminated my need to use re-labeled EJ $1s and left me with “too many” EJ $5 racks.

I’ve had these relabeled EJ $1s for a few years and I put them in play twice. The base chip is the CDM 100 chip and Gear performed full inlay replacement on these chips. If these don’t sell, I’ll just keep them as secondary $1s in my EJ set.

This is a dibs sale for the 500-Chip set; CONUS ONLY. all remaining chips

I will consider splitting the 500-Chip set if all chips are accounted for, depends on how lazy I feel :). I will also consider trades for other lead.

Up for Sale:

EJ $1 x 200 (full inlay replacement) - $1350 shipped (for all 200)

EJ $5 x 300

500-Chips; Total Set Cost: $4K Shipped

Potential, Optional Add On(s) Available to the Buyer of the 500-Chip Set:

EJ $.25 x 200 (full inlay replacement; base chip is Emerald Princess Snapper) - $2050 shipped (for all 200)

EJ $500/$1K Barrel x 20 (EJ $500 x 16; EJ $1K x 4) - $350 shipped for the barrel

Do these $5s exist in good to very good used condition? Mine are fairly rounded and don’t match the condition of the rest of my set, but these would not match in the other direction.

I would love a chance at the princess snappers if set buyer isn’t interested.
Do you have a price in mind??
Base chip cost $800/rack and full inlay replacement by Gear was $275/rack, so my cost was $1075/rack and that’s what I’d ask as a standalone purchase if the buyer of the 500-Chip set passes on them.

I think it's pretty much very casino-used or EX++/NM/M, I'm not aware of these $5s in VG condition (but I could be wrong)

These $5s are currently for sale and I believe they represent what essentially is available for these $5s outside NM/M condition:

I have 6 racks of used and 5 racks of mint. There’s no middle ground unfortunately. The weight is different (leaded vs unleaded) and the color is different (cherry red used vs dark red mint).

Are the mint unleaded?

Are the mint unleaded?
I believe there's a debate with respect to whether they are unleaded or whether they are just less leaded than the heavier version based on the timeframe they were issued. There was a several year period of time where Paulson transitioned from leaded to unleaded chips and during that transition period, they made chips that were "less leaded" than their previous leaded chips. But unless someone actually tests the chip for lead content there's really no way of knowing for sure which one it is.

I think this is pretty much correct. I've had a few stragglers amongst all the used 5s I've come across that would comfortable stand on edge. Most are the tire variety and 47 different shades of red, maybe 48.
