I realize the answer is probably no and is insane to even ask, but here I am. It is PCF after all.

Is it possible or has anyone ever attempted to hot stamp a chip that is already hot stamped? The specific thing I have in mind is a chip that is stamped with a denomination and I just want to add a K behind it (turn $25 into $25K) There's really no good reason to do this but again this is PCF so I ask.

Maybe there is a way to do this by hand?

@Josh Kifer?

It can be done.
Yes it’s possible.
The “k” stamp will cost you about $40 and absolute nobody will guarantee the results.
Better have extras too, because you will burn through about 10 just to get the stamp centered.
And if there is any wiggle room in the setup or the chip holder (typically there is about an 1/16 inch) it won’t end up in the same place every time.

A picture of what you are attempting to stamp would also go a long way in answering your question.

PS: I bought my hot stamping machine to do exactly this, because I didn’t want to waste other peoples time and chips.
Things work better when the person with the passion is doing the art.

I did it with a foil vinyl sticker since I didn't want the chips to be permanently "Xk" and didn't think it was worth the cost to actually have it stamped. Apply the foil with an exacto knife was laborious though. It worked surprisingly well without coming off although I only got them in play twice.

Can it be done? Yes.

Will it be expensive? Yes.

Will anyone guarantee results? No.

I recommend removing the entire hot stamp and remaking it with an exact replica with the K added, so the K is always aligned and straight. But it's a lot of work for a minimal gain.

I wanted to add a $ sign to the tiger hot stamps and convert the tourney logo into a cash logo, Kifer said it wasn’t a good idea and declined the job and instead we removed all of the foil and restamped.

I’m very pleased with the results.
