This news out today: https://www.cnn.com/2025/05/02/economy/de-minimis-packages-tariff

"Many Americans might not have felt major effects from President Donald Trump’s sweeping tariffs – until now.

That’s because a major shipping loophole expired at one minute past midnight on Friday. The de minimis exemption, as it’s known, allowed shipments of goods worth $800 or less to come into the US duty free, often more or less skipping time-consuming inspections and paperwork."

How's this going to affect Tina/Sun-Fly/others?

Justin posted a nice update on his June group buy about this situation/uncertainty:

*Disclaimer* As you are aware there is a current tariff on China goods. We have been assured by the manufacturer that they will cover these tariffs. We have no way of holding them to that so there is a possibilty that we have to pay some tariffs on this order. If we do get charged tariffs then we will have to pass those costs on the you. We have also been told that the manufacturer declares these chips at a value of $.10 each.** So far no orders have had any extra tariffs

I was in the process of designing some plaques from Sun Fly. The shipping costs are already so much, if tariffs of 145% are applied, it'll push me more toward BRPro.

I’ll be curious if the new 90 day window impacts this particular issue. Obviously the 30% tariff is much preferred to 145%. But will the de minimis issue stay in place… time will tell
