This seems messed up. Usually there’s a thread calling someone out who messed up like this with pitchforks and he was present at a meetup and is ignoring you?
I would gather a guess it’s just been a running joke now for awhile? Attending a public meetup is a whole other level of egregious, figure it’s gotta be a joke at that point.

Don’t know his situation, so I’d say its all less telling on Natumes’ character than it is of several of the folks posting in this thread.

No. I don’t think it is right. But I do think it might be deserved.

How much time did it take @BarrieJ3 to settle up each time he ghosted so many people? I’m certain this will work itself out.
This doesn’t make any sense…two wrongs don’t make a right. Are you friends with @natumes or something?

This seems like a very strange take
Let’s say a person is absolutely hell bent on a point of view, whatever topic.

Then, they alter values, norms, etc. based on no other factors than who is involved.

As the kids these days would say, “keep that same energy”. As an adult, it’s just building your foundation on shifting sands, no gumption.

As for Natumes, I don’t know his situation so I can’t speak to it or judge it.

Maybe I don’t think it is right, but I am also enjoying it because it is you.

You are a classic narcissist. You exaggerate events to hyperbolic levels and impugn other people’s characters to make yourself look like some sort of victim/hero. I’ve seen you do it many times. I’m sure others have as well. So yeah, I’m enjoying it. But I’m confident this will eventually work itself out and you will be made whole.

Wait, you can stop buying and selling?!?
Sure can. I even had one of my favorite sets offered back to me and I turned it down. I still can’t believe it.

Customs is the final boss. I have achieved nirvana. @BarrieJ3 is just pissed at me that he will never have the opportunity to own my sample set. :cool

Why is everybody cool with someone not getting paid out lol this doesnt seem fair. Why doesn't natumes respond?

I'm feeling spicy today, so I'll give it my best shot.

There seems to be some kind of schadenfreude among some because @BarrieJ3 did something very similar years ago. He sold chips, people paid, and he didn't ship right away. He eventually made all parties whole after being away from the forum for a few months during what seemed to be a chaotic time in his personal life.

That said, OP seems to have recently attended a meetup in which presumably hundreds of dollars were exchanged and they reasonably brought the amount owed to @BarrieJ3 in his bankroll to play. If what @BarrieJ3 is saying is true, it's a very bad look. I don't recall @BarrieJ3 attending meetups or playing poker during his forum absence, not that we know of at least.

Money owed is money owed. I'm not sure I would have hijacked the guy's WSOP thread to bring this to the community's attention, and I understand the irony by further contributing with my reply, but personal feelings about anyone involved aside, @BarrieJ3 has a legitimate bone to pick here based on the information we have.

All this time I've been trying to find Tachi $100's just to find out they've been giving them away! @natumes pm I'm interested in buying.

Nah. It goes way deeper than that. Hence why I am the fuck out of it.

I have no skin in the game and have no quarrel with anyone. I'm sure there is some that isn't being told and more going on behind the scenes. Just calling it as I see it with known information.

Either way, the biggest takeaway/lesson to be learned is to never ship anything until funds are received. It seems that this whole thing could have been avoided if that took place.

I pmed already and asked someone if there was extenuating information I’m not aware of.

I assumed after his attending a meetup, that there was backstory being shared that either I’m 1) too dense to have recognized or 2) just don’t understand.

I wasn’t tying to be a dick in this thread, I feel like I’ve been transparent and honest, but I’m obviously missing something.

I’ve never interacted with Nate at any length (every interaction shown below), nor was there any interaction at all beyond me shipping these to him other than a friendly poke on Facebook.
