I actually genuinely like the look of the tournament set. It’s like they made meh cash chips that could accidentally be re-purposed into really nice tourney chips.

At 23 cents a chip the cash set is really good for Chipcos (less than Tina or China clays) already but at 36 cents a chip the good looking tourney set is a straight up steal.

I'm making a somewhat larger version, utilizing an ar10 charging handle to reset/cock the 'launcher', as (obviously) the spring loaded launcher has to be pretty strong to really fling these ceramics. Mag spring from a KCI 30 round mag (40cal) seems to be working fine for up to approx. 20 stacked ceramics. I tried a standard glock 17 round mag spring but not enough "umph". The current mag itself is out of schedule 40 pvc for my beta prototype, hoping to go aluminum with the alpha prototype. Although I was using a chunk of eigth wall rectangular steel tubing for the 'barrel', I've found that the imperfections with the import asian steel cause the ceramics to wobble upon exit.

Agreed. Like @Josh Kifer, most of you might find these chips ugly. But these prices are insane. No one on this forum should be playing with dice chips after this sale.

Yes, play as is. You can't murder ceramic chips. Chipcos are considered by most to be the best ceramic chip out there. @Josh Kifer has done a good job of breaking these out into playable sets.

As my first real chip set, I bought a custom set of ceramics directly from chip co. I used that set for over 15 years! Never had an issue, never cleaned them. They are great chips, especially at Josh’s price.
