Help with Ghostbusters tournament set (4 Viewers)

I've been a Ghostbusters fan for as long as I can remember. Many Halloweens were spent in jumpsuits and proton packs.

A few years ago I bought some Horseshoe Cincinnati chips by mistake and immediately fell in love with the black $100 chip, though I couldn't exactly explain why, I felt like it really appealed to the little kid in me.

And then a couple days ago as I'm cleaning stuff out, it hit me...I see the Ghostbusters streams in the edge spots! THAT'S IT!! THAT'S WHY I LOVE THEM AND NOW I HAVE TO MAKE A GHOSTBUSTERS TOURNAMENT SET!!!


So here we are...I've got colors in mind, but I'd love to hear the community's thoughts! I know I want green $25 to be like a Slimer inspired chip. Pinkish and white/off white edge spots for his gums/tongue/teeth (JD watermelons are too bright, need something darker).

The hundreds are obviously the Horseshoe Cinci blacks.

The $500's I was thinking Firehouse inspired? Maybe something like a redish brick color? I'm open to suggestions here.

Lastly the $1k chip HAS to be an oversized white chip for Stay Puft...ideally dark/navy blue and red edge spots.

The labels would have either have complicated images inspired by the film and capturing the essence of the characters, or they'd be a fairly simple interpretation of the GB "no ghosts" logo.


OK...hit me with what you've got! I'm open to ideas and would LOVE to try to get this in the works now in hopes that MAYBE I can host a Halloween tournament with them! :) Thanks all!!
 
At one point I was considering a ghostbusters inspired set called Sedgewick Hotel and Casino.

Gozer chip. Maybe the frac. Pale lavender with either purple or bright pink spots.
Vigo the Cartpathian chip. Brown or tan with orange spots. Could be your 5 maybe.
I would make the bounty chip follow the jumpsuit colors. Sort of like labeling each player as a ghostbuster (tan, black, red, slip in a splash of the yellow cord they carry on their hip. Ibwas thinking a rebuy could be some play on the river of slime, not sure about that one.

You could always go the extra mile and get a topper made with a character for each seat. :) love the idea. I can't wait to see this one materialize.

Actually Gozer as the 500 and Vigo as the 5k would be amazing…

And then I could decorate the bird cage as the fires house!! Haha

And yes!! A table or topper is definitely on the wishlist! :)

Oh right. You said tournament. Duh. The villains being the big chips is pretty awesome. It would be cool to make the label unique for each with character name or pic but have a common theme, if you don't use the hotel idea. The hotel label is pretty solid.

The horseshoe cinci hundo is so perfect, it makes me wanna try to put it together…but if I can’t find the right fit with a couple chips, I may go custom :)
 
I’m leaning towards a two sided label. So for the black chip, one side would be all four GB ideally shooting four different directions (lining up with the edge spots shooting outward) and then the other side be the “No Ghosts” logo.

For the oversized white/stay puft chip I’m thinking one side the full image of him walking through the city, and the other side a close up of his face fiery and mad.

We’ll see. It’s early and I’m open to suggestion :) but this is where I’m leaning now :)

Yes, right now I’m leaning towards:

Horseshoe Cinci secondary $25 (slimer inlay)
Horseshoe Cinci secondary $100 (GB inlay)
Jumer’s secondary $500 (Gozer inlay)
RPC 48mm white 100 for $1k (stay puft inlay)

Eventually may do a tan or brown 5k chip for Vigo

The artwork is pretty important with this obviously. Photorealistic is a tough one to get to look good on chips and too cartoony can look a bit naff as well.

This is the style I'd be looking at I think if it was me...

but it's really down to what direction you take - will be interesting to see this idea develop.
