Hello everyone!

New member to the forum and I just now noticed that there is a different standard color for chips, and I have really fallen for the blue 1's and yellow 5's! I was wondering how the community feels about the Cali colors vs LV and if there is a general favorite!

I was born and raised in California so I’m used to yellow 5’s and blue 1’s. I still prefer the Las Vegas color scheme though. It might be just a nostalgia thing when my family would take trips to Vegas and those were the chips my dad would show me in the hotel room.

I don’t know why white $1’s are considered Vegas style. Most of the Vegas $1’s I can think of are blue.

I don’t have a preference on the $5 chip, but I do prefer a blue $1, and a white $100.

To me, reds are fives and fives are red.

Standard white / red / green colors
represent the majority of sets on this site. Whether that’s due to preference or supply and demand? Probably some of each.

I think white was much more common in LV before the Wynn casinos (Bellagio, Mirage, Treasure Island, Wynn) started using blue. There were others, this really gave blue a boost.
I prefer the dark royal Paulson blue to some of the newer lighter shades.
I prefer LV colors a for all other chips, likely because I’m not used to Cali colors.

Vegas all the way.

Cali hipsters trying too hard to be different. White chips are $100? $1k bananas are the ripe yellow bananas, not unripe greens. GTFO

I prefer the Vegas colors but only with blue 1s.

But since I play small stakes anyway I can do things like red nickles and green quarters and then do blue ones, yellow fives and so on using the vegas scheme for the ones that we use more often and cali for the higher denoms
