Damn, those $1 chips look like a great relabel option chip, especially for a THC snob like myself.

Yeah, very surprised that they went with THC for the $1, while everything else looks to be RHC.....

Agreed. Usually it's the other way around. Odd.

Bummer. I really wanted to pick up some new RHC's when I came into town.

Those chips look incredible! Why can't a casino close to me in MN/WI get new chips!

Just thought of this, but I guess it's technically not every other denom at Horseshoe Baltimore - I've only played poker there and have seen the $5, $25, and $100 on RHC. The $2.50 'snapper' is also THC per the MoGH Chip Guide. And I don't know about the $500 and $1000 - they're not on the Chip Guide - but I recall seeing them on the Craps table as I walked by -- my guess is they are oversize (inverted hat & cane), although I've never held those chips in my hand personally.

Why do these a$$hats insist on using different molds? Looks so lame when they do that.

I've come to the conclusion that it's somebody's twisted understanding of 'security'...... since the inexpensive $1 chips cannot be used to create duplicates of the more valuable checks. Of course, it doesn't stop them from getting matching mold $1s from someplace else, so it effectively only stops the really lazy counterfeiters.

I've wondered why myself, why aren't entire sets of chips on one mold? Who is it advantageous for, Paulson or the casino?
I think the cost for using the molds is the same. Just had a conversation with @ChaosRock and Mikko at Spinettis about this very thing. The size of the inlay has cost ramifications, but not the mold as far as I know. I am no expert however.

Wow!! They are all frickin sweet. Best snapper I've seen.
