The Nevada lodge $1's are such a classic, super common and one of my favorite TRK $1's. A bit harder to find them in Minty condition anymore though

May I ask why TRK lovers don't buy reissues made by CPC with this mold ?

Makes my mouth water looking at this picture David. My lazy ass is going to take some updated photos tomorrow!
Actually an older pic I found on my phone. It looks a little blurry so I may have to take some updated with the wife’s new iPhone also.

Essentials colors, as TRK Turquoise among others, are not available by CPC. OG formula and colors were bought by BCC around 2009/2010 if I not mistaken, so is somewhere in a closet at GPI's HQ..... sadly.

those are outstanding
when i heard the mold was retired and dennis was taking them to the grave I was all good with that
seeing them available again was shock
interested in the story: how did they move from TRK to BCC to CPC?
David tells a little bit of the story here:

It sounds like he got them directly from Dennis before the rest of the assets were sold to BCC.

So I was able to acquire the 2 racks of Kings Crown hot stamped chips that I was told in no uncertain terms that I would not be able to find. I really do appreciate the sale of the racks at an unbelievable price which now puts my Kings Crown cash set in the completed column!! Of course, if anyone out there with 2 racks of the Kings Crown .25 fracs wants to trade for brand new NCV chips, I'm down. But otherwise, I'm done!! Can't wait to felt these in the near future!

Where did minty Nevada Lodge $1s come from??? I want 1000! "A bit harder to find" seems an understatement. I don't think I've ever seen a rack of them, EVER (except maybe this one in your photo?)

To be completely honest, I've never really been a fan of fantasy lineups. Something about them always screams "meh whatever" to me. My soft spot exception has always been the Kings Crown lineup. Maybe it's because of how clean, elegant, and simple both the chips and the inlays are. Whatever the case I love them and never really thought I would be able to own a tournament set.

Happy to have been proven wrong. It's not a huge set, a STT 10 player T25k but I'm thrilled with it. Enjoy the pr0n

TRK noob here....why are there 2 PH 5's...is one primary
One is the Riverside $5 and the other is the Overland/Gold Club $5. Both places essentially were owned by Pick Hobson so he probably had similar chips ordered with different edge spots. The Overland/Gold Club chips were also used at 3 different casinos if I remember correctly.

Thnx...so is that a similar story for the NV Lodge 5's....dang they're mighty pretty
Correct. Lincoln Fitzgerald owned the Nevada Club, Nevada Lodge and Fitzgeralds in Reno/Lake Tahoe. That’s why there are the Nevada Club/Nevada Lodge chips. Those were used at both casinos. Nevada Club chips were used at the Nevada Club in downtown and then the Nevada Lodge chips were used in Lake Tahoe. Similar story to the Pick Hobson chips.
