Interest in GB: CPC plain mold solid seating/bounty chips with 1 1/16" inlays (1 Viewer)

I have a set of the @OldWestPokerSupplies seating buttons/bounties and they are all exactly the same on the back, the whole face down on the table is how I'm used to picking seats in home games or casino.

I think that's what everyone (or at least the majority) is wanting. Same color for all chips, and identical back (bounty) graphics on all chips. That way all chips look he same face down. Then turn over with different colored labels per table.

Agreed, if we go this way we can expand w/ more colored inlays for people running 3 or more tables.
Don´t know the minimum for each inlay (100?).

Yep. I think CPCs minimum is 100 per style, once you break the 300 chip minimum.

Thus far we're at around 28 sets, give or take. 280 chips.

It seems like all-same base color is the dominant preference, so approx 250-300 chips of the same color.

If you haven't stated number of tables, please could you do so?

If same base color is a killer for you, please also say.

I'll wait to the end of the week and see where the numbers are and will report back to David Spragg so we can get a price per chip for both same base and different base colors (assuming the numbers are sufficient).

I'm still in for three tables... 30 chippies... would also do 4 sets if made available, but doesn't look like that will happen.

I`d like, when base colors are choosen, one inlay color matching the base color, like this (or without the white circle):

PlainPink.jpg

What do you think?

I think the majority are in favor of same base, different inlay color.

I will ask the Q of CPC re. possibility of both, however.

I'm out for this one since I've already got a system for table and seat assignments that works well. But I agree you definitely want the same color if there's any way the chips could be seen prior to distribution.

The way I do mine this is not an issue - chips are distributed using 1.5 inch confectioners tubes which I gather up and place in a drawstring sack with just the tops sticking out. Each player grabs one as they buy in and as the tubes are distributed I keep pulling the string taught against the remaining tubes. At the bottom of the tube are two extra chips. The first is a generic 1-10 chip I got from Spinetti's a while back. The second is a one dollar Paulson from a real casino. So for example Horseshoe goes to one table and Rivers goes to the other.

The guys like it because even though they're not chip nerds it's something neat to look for at the start of the game. Selfishly it's great because I can chip hoard without having to go anywhere. As guys travel and visit other casinos more often than not they'll text me to see if I've got anything from there. If the answer is no there's a good chance that my next host gratuity will be a half or full barrel of $1s from said casino, usually in decent shape too!

Sounds like a decent system, but the one problem with it is that it doesn't involve us buying more chips.
;)

Oh well, yes... there is that. If I wasn't about to send David a check for several thousand bucks I'd be all over this one just for the hell of it. But please, carry on without me!

Okay.... update on this. I've swapped some emails with David

Assumptions:
  • c400+ chips in orders
  • same base color
  • same bounty design on one side
  • different color inlay on reverse side to denote table/number
  • 3 tables*
We're looking at approx $1.75/chip

Next steps:
  1. agree base color
  2. agree inlay colors
  3. agree bounty style
  4. agree denom side style
Please propose color suggestions/design examples if you have favorites.

I'll mock up some crude designs which we can then take forward to a chip artist once we're agreed on a few. This should help reduce the design cost.

If the revised pricing of $1.75/chip sways you into ordering, please state interest so we can track rough numbers.

Thanks!

* we could do additional tables but the word from David is that cost will likely jump. A couple e.g. 5 tables will add a large premium on those extras, probably base price $1.31 + $1.50 a chip. Exact price will depend on number of chips ordered overall.

Depending on final design and colours, i'd be in for 1 set

Please propose color suggestions/design examples if you have favorites.

Preferences and suggestions:
  1. base color: not a 'standard' tournament color (i.e., not red/green/black/purple/yellow/orange/pink/gray), anything else is fine. Blue, perhaps?
  2. inlay colors: would prefer 'common' felt colors (i.e., red and green), but flexible on colors used provided they are different and contrasting.
  3. bounty style: generic and simple design (i.e., cross-hairs, shooting target, or just the word "BOUNTY")
  4. denom side style: again, generic and simple design (i.e., plain numeral on colored background -- "table" or "seat" text not needed), use of gradient or watermark is fine

If we consider this, I'd like to nominate chip colors - DG Peacock and Light Chocolate.

I would like there to be a 4 table option. Make the inlay colors the same but use a different color denom to denote table.

Version 1 - DG Peacock base - denoms colors (yellow, red, green, purple)
Version 2 - Light Chocolate base - denom colors ( yellow, red, green, blue)

Please see previous note about additional tables. They can be done but only as same base color/different color inlay and at a premium.

Would like to see a bright, unusual color for the chips and red/green/black for the tables.

Yup, a set including 4 tables - 40 chips for me (or 5 and 50 :D). Since when did a chip premium ever influence me?

5 tables - Light Chocolate Base color same inlay but different colored denoms to denote table. If I were picking the denom colors they would be (yellow, red, lt. blue, green, blurple)

I'm not picky on color/style... I'll let you guys figure that out. Although I do like @TheSnake's idea of a pink option. None of my tourney sets have any pink chips, so I'd be game for that!

So put me in for 30... or 40 if you make a fourth table inlay option!
