Will they Shuffle? (2 Viewers)

I'm sorry, but this is some of the worst chip shuffling I've ever seen.
And if you are going to do a video of it, at the very least do 8 chips. trying to shuffle 6 chips is almost like doing 2 chips. So very unsatisfying.

And with only 6 chips you can hardly do anything. I have racks of each of those chips, and can shuffle 24 of either of them with little to no difficulty at all.

Hey no problem. I've never owned any chips of my own before so I'm trying to learn having NEVER done it before but I'm sure you were an expert your first time.
Don't worry, you've succeeded in making sure I never post another fucking thing to this forum. Especially that other shithead who used "autistic" as a slur when my 12-year-old son is autistic. A special fuck you to you @Eriks for that one. By the way, my sister just had a stroke last week and needs open-heart surgery now, feel free to have fun with that one too dickhead.

No sickness or handicap is a slur.
Nobody accuses people of missing a limb, or of getting the flu, or covid, or cancer.
Quite the contrary, society is there to help them.
It can be used as a slur (deservedly or not), when people act (or are considered to act) as if they were sick or handicapped, while they are not.
@Eriks was just using the word in the latter sense, and purely for self-sarcasm, humorous purposes, without any real autistic person in mind.
To understand all that you have to possess some level of logical judgement and have some sense of humour.
No puritan censorship should be tolerated anywhere in the world.

This thread has had over 200 views, and only two guys made fun of your chip shuffling. Considering how bad your chip shuffling is, I’d say that’s a testament to the kindness of this community.
You might want to lighten up a bit. This forum is like life - there’s good and there’s bad. But there’s plenty of good here.

Don't even attempt to justify what he said. I have been dealing with people like that for over 20 years. Calling someone autistic for doing something that they feel is worth ridicule is the same way people used to say someone is "retarded". It is a slur, he's using it as a punchline. As if being autistic is worthy of being laughed at.

I really do apologize. Like I had first stated, I thought you were pointing out the video to see what our thoughts were on it, and I did not like it (as you could tell by my first comment). I then realized when I clicked through to the youtube channel, that it was actually you. I then edited my post to add the disclaimer.
However, what exactly were you trying to accomplish with posting that video on a poker chip enthusiast website? Did you think that was showing good technique? Did you think you were proving that those particular chips are not good at shuffling? For both those questions, the answer is no.
A few tips:
As someone else stated, lift with the index finger. That gives the chips a start to the riffle.
Use at the very minimum 8 chips. With only 6, you often can barely start a riffle of the chips, let alone do a complete shuffle.
I hope that you will stick around. If you happen to only have 6 of each of those chips, let me know. Give me a bit of time, and I will dig out old chips and send you a small care package of about 10 chips each of various different types (including more of those monte carlo and more of the dunes, of which there are multiple versions, with slightly different feels to each). I will also include some old TRK's, paulsons and ceramics.
It may take a little time, as I will need to dig out those chips, and then make a trip down to the US to send out, but I'll do it, just shoot me a pm.

I’m really sorry man. @Coyote got it right, I’m only trying to poke fun at the fact that we’re a bunch of (mostly) grown up (mostly) men collecting some really obscure little things as a very special interest. I am in no way trying to make fun of or belittle autistic people, especially not children. Clearly, it was in bad taste and obviously especially dumb considering your situation. I apologize, sincerely.
As for the shuffle thing, lighten up dude! We thought it was a random video of a guy that sucks at shuffling. I used to suck at shuffling too! Don’t take it and yourself so damn seriously. Try laughing at yourself once in a while, it’s not dangerous.
And don’t leave here because some dickheads said some stupid things. That’s not necessary. It’s a great place, trust me.

I can’t see the video. I’d like to watch it and comment on it but it’s marked private. As someone who has posted chip shuffling videos on you tube this matters to me. I’m one of the top YouTube shufflers with literally dozens of watches and almost 10 likes.

I've had a few hours of back-breaking labor to cool off and I accept your apology, as well as offer my own for going off like I did.
It really had nothing to do with how bad my chip shuffling is, it was a factor of many things and everyone laughing about it just set me off.
I recently was forced to resign from a management position due to medical reasons, and playing poker is my outlet. It's how I manage my anxiety.
Plus with my sisters being in the ICU I just come here to try and decompress.
Having everyone react and speak about me the way they did, well it didn't help. But that's no excuse for how I reacted.
Again, same as I said to Racer, I apologize for going off on you the way I did. No matter what you said it doesn't excuse my behavior.
And like I said, it wasn't really about the shuffling, I know I can't shuffle chips. I've never done it before a couple of days ago and am trying to get the dexterity down. I can take a joke but this week has been monumentally bad and it wasn't so much what said, but how it was said that set me off.
I'm sorry for how I reacted.

I like to needle and poke a little fun at people sometimes (just ask my younger sisters), but it’s never ill-spirited and if I cross a line I can certainly stand a little heat for it and appologize. It’s all good!
