My regular group usually plays 25¢/50¢. We've played 25¢/25¢ up through $1/$1 before, but we've settled on 25¢/50¢. My current set is the standard .25/1/5/25 that can support the range of stakes we play.
Was thinking of making a second custom set w/50¢ fracs, and then $2.50 snappers (have some pink chips to use), then $10 (maybe skip $25 or $50). Since we can't do 25¢/50¢ with this potential set, we'll probably do 50¢/50¢ to keep the BB the way it is. Usual buy-in is $40, so that's 80 BB.
While the chips can support any bets in 50¢ increments, just wondering if anyone has any experience or thoughts on playing with this lineup of chips, as to whether it affects people's psychology as it relates to betting, having these uncommon/larger denoms.
